Chapter59

Today was finally our baby shower. We didn’t have a gender reveal, so I was excited for today. Since we were having a photoshoot session for the baby shower, we decided to go to a reserved park where we will have both the photoshoot and the baby shower.
Aziel and I reached the venue one hour earlier so that we can have time to take a lot of pictures. We took some around the park, near the fountains and the decorated area of the baby shower.
Once we were done with the photoshoot, I walked to the sitting area and sat down to relax my Since last week, I noticed that my feet get swollen quickly when I stand too much.

We looked at the entrance and saw Thalia and Alfred coming our way. They were both holding a cute
gift bag.
“This is a gift for you,” Thalia said before giving me both bags. I thanked her before hugging her
and Alfred.
“I’ll keep it on the empty table,” Aziel said and I nodded. He grabbed the bags and walked to the
table.
“I like the decorations,” Thalia commented as she looked around.
“Me too, they did a good job,” I added.
A few minutes later, everyone started to show up. There was Kassy, Aria, Leo, Carter, Nayvee, Alicia and Adam. Everyone handed me a gift bag, the empty table was now full.
Carter came with a big box. He covered the sides with some wrapping papers as there were pictures
on the box.
“No peaking, you can open it at home.” He told us.
“If it’s a boring thing, you’ll be assigned more jobs tomorrow.” Aziel playfully warned him.
Carter chuckled, “You won’t enjoy this but the baby will.‘”
That left us pretty curious.
Leo bought a lot of small gift bags and I knew he did this on purpose to annoy me as I did the same

thing to him when Aria was born.
“Karma is a bitch, sista.” He smiled before hugging me..
“If I wasn’t this pregnant, I would have shown you what a bitch my fist is,” I told him.
He chuckled and kissed my temple.
One by one they came to me and we took a few more pictures in front of the decorations. We then
served dinner and at last, we cut the cake so that everyone can enjoy it.
The baby seemed to enjoy it too as I got kicked in the sides many times.

At the end of the day, I was ready to go home. We cleaned up the space we used, put every gift in the
car before driving home.
When we reached, I took a warm shower, got in my robe and went to lay on the bed. I lay sideways, a pillow behind my back, another pillow in between my thigh and two more pillows under my head.
I was comfy.
Aziel and Alfred were actually unloading the car and Aziel told me that he would put every gift in the nursery room for tonight.
I will check them tomorrow.
I grabbed my phone and scrolled through my newsfeed while waiting for Aziel. He took a long time to come back to the bedroom. When he walked in, he had the big box that Carter gave us.
“Do you want to open it tonight?” He inquired.
“Yes please,” I said eagerly.
He chuckled, “Do the honour.‘
I slowly rolled over and after two attempts, I was able to sit on the edge of the bed. I walked to the box and unwrapped it.
I gasped.
“Oh my god, that’s cute,” I commented.
From the picture on the box, we saw that it was a basket crib with a net on top. Not gonna e, it looked super cute.
“We already have a crib.” Aziel pointed out.

“Yeah, but we can put this one in our room. The baby will have to sleep with us for a few weeks.” I
explained.
“So I need to set this up,” he concluded and I nodded.
“We can do it tomorrow,” I suggested.
“It’s still early, I’ll try to do it now… it looks easy to set up.” He says.
“I can help.” I volunteered.
“No, you stood too much today. Go back to bed and relax. I’ll build it here so that you can watch.”
I smiled before going back to lay on the bed. He undid the box, took every piece out and got to work. He did read the instruction and got the work done on one try.
“I love it,” I smiled.
“Now that I’m looking at it, I do love it too,” Aziel added.
“You should grant Carter a week of vacation for this thoughtful gift.” I playfully said.
He told Carter that if the gift was boring, he would give him more jobs to do but the gift turn out super cute so it’s only fair he gets a vacation.
“Oh love,” He murmured, shaking his head lightly with a small smile on his lips.
He put the boxes and plastic bags out before going to take a shower. I felt our munchkin hit me in the side hard, making me wince a little.
I rubbed the skin, “You are awake, huh and it seems like you won’t let mommy sleep for a while.”
And I was right.
During the night, I woke up thrice as no position was comfortable enough for me to sleep. I tossed around and changed the pillows‘ position but nothing worked. I was tired and frustrated.
All I want to do was sleep.
“Do you want me to give you a massage? Maybe it will help you to sleep.” I heard Aziel say beside
- me.
I sighed, “Okay.”
I felt his hand on my lower back and he started the massage with his fingertips. I glanced at the table clock on my bed table and I noticed that it was 3 am.

“Close your eyes and relax,”
I did.
He moved around my side, my upper back to my shoulders.
Aziel’s pov:
I repeated the steps five times until I heard her soft snores. I looked at her and she was sleeping peacefully. I did the steps a few more times to make sure that she was sleeping deeply.
Then I removed my hands, pulled the blanket to her waist before moving her pillow to her back and under her thighs.
