My Mother Died At My Wedding Chapter 18

My Mother Died At My Wedding Chapter 18

Lily was terrified.
Jack loved Freya so much.
The thought of what he might do to her once he discovered the truth filled her with dread.
She didn’t dare imagine the consequences.

That was when an idea struck her. It was the only way to protect herself.
She quickly pulled out her streaming equipment, adjusted her makeup and outfit, and did her best to appear as pitiful and fragile as possible.

Once everything was set, she started her livestream, letting silent tears roll down her cheeks, her expression full of grievance.

“Everyone… I’ve been wronged,” she began, her voice trembling with vulnerability.
“My boyfriend… he has another girlfriend. He might even leave me for her… but I’m carrying his child! How could he do this to me? He used to love me so much… how could he change like this?”
Her voice cracked as she broke down, tears streaming as she wove her tale.

Through her careful embellishments and half-truths, Lily successfully painted herself as the innocent victim. She even twisted the truth, shifting all the wrongs she had done to Freya onto Freya herself.
In her narrative, she cast herself as the helpless victim.

“Please, everyone, help me!” she pleaded, her tear-streaked face glowing on the screen. “I’m so scared. What if my boyfriend forces me to get rid of our baby? I don’t need him, but I can’t lose my child. This baby is my only source of strength, and I can’t live without it.”
Crying as if her heart were breaking, Lily sobbed for her audience, who quickly rallied to her side, outraged on her behalf.

“How could that other woman do this to you?”
“Men are all the same—completely worthless!”
“I live near you. I’ll come help you!”
