Doubling North Hill City’s GDP would mean turning one trillion into two trillion, and it was no longer a small figure, even for a city.
Riveria’s total GDP was fifteen trillion, and the federal government had tasked them to increase the amount to twenty trillion as soon as possible.
If North Hill City’s GDP could double annually, in addition to the other cities‘ GDP, he could likely complete the task from the federal government within a year.
Once he pulled that off, he would secure a seat in the cabinet and leave his name in the hall of fame. He could even be recognized amongst the younger generation across the country and even the entire world.
Stephen’s hands trembled as his fantasy ran wild.

He had not outright declared his choice, but his mind was made up that Shawn Hill must become the mayor of North Hill City!
On top of that, Shawn used to be oppressed by Ethan. It was obvious now that Ethan must be jealous of Shawn’s capabilities, hence the oppression to blunt his edges.
Now that Stephen had taken over, he ought to give the oppressed a chance to shine. To him, Ethan was just an incapable man jealous of others better than him.
When the call ended, Eric said to Shawn, “Congratulations, Mr. Mayor of North Hill City.”
“Hahaha! We shall share the delight.” Shawn laughed, tossing the keys to a car to Eric.
After Eric left, he called Brandon to inform him of the matter, and Brandon nodded with
satisfaction.
With Shawn as the mayor, Brandon would finally be able to move forward with his plans. The town of Lytton had stayed dormant for far too long.
He wanted to make all the money he had lost in the past in the shortest time possible, and no one could stop Lytton from thriving anymore.
Stephen had taken a look at the profiles of the candidates and found Shawn to be the most suitable. Thus, he talked to George about it and also gained the man’s approval of his choice.
Two days later, a meeting was held to officially elect Shawn as the new mayor of North Hill City. George immediately gave Simon a call to share the news.
“Your son elected the new mayor of North Hill City. The name is Shawn Hill, a capable man. He’s confident he can double the city’s GDP in a year.”

Simon chuckled. “The guy sounds impressive. Make sure to keep him in a position of influence. If this goes well, Riveria will be on the rise.”
“All credit goes to Stephen for making the right choice. With him around, Riveria is headed for bigger and better things,” George quickly said.
Thrilled by the flattery, Simon laughed and replied, “I’ll be sure to let everyone know about this so they won’t call my son useless anymore”
When Stephen uncovered that Ethan had received numerous letters of thanks, it had been quite embarrassing for him as the father. Now that he had a chance to redeem his family name, he ought to use it to the fullest.
After all, his son had elected the mayor who was confident he could double North Hill City’s GDP in a year. He could already picture Stephen raising Riveria’s GDP to twenty trillion and returning victorious in a landslide success.
He pulled his phone out and called everyone he knew to brag about it.
“Misunderstood Ethan Rivers? So what? My son has elected a mayor that will make North Hill City thrive and prosper. That’s what matters!
“In one year, the city’s GDP will double! Can you son do that? The mayor my son has elected can do it!
“With his sharp insights, it seems like my son is always two steps ahead of his peers.”
The others who got the phone call were speechless but jealous of Simon.
If the mayor whom Stephen elected could really double North Hill City’s GDP in a year, the little misunderstanding would soon be forgotten. In fact, even a fifty percent increase in the GDP would be amazing.
