Edward and Tyler were eager to meet Ethan again. For the past three years, they had lived under the shadow of Ethan, haumted by the fear of his return.
In every encounter with Ethan, they had lost every single time, and each time, Ethan would mock them, calling them naive, shallow, ignorant, and stupid.
“If thinking is the proof of being alive, I have a hard time determining whether you two are even alive. Can’t figure out why you lost? Well, in that case, I suggest you should just ram your head into the wall.”
Just recalling what Ethan said to them back then sent chills down Edward’s and Tyler’s spines.
Their lives were perfect before Ethan appeared, their lives had been smooth sailing, and every plan had gone exactly how they wanted. However, then Ethan appeared in their lives.

At dawn the next day, they headed out to Drakthorn Ridge. However, they were stopped at the mountain foot.
On the day of Stephen’s wedding, Rachel had come to Ethan instead of attending, so since then, Stephen had doubled the security at the entrance. He had instructed his men to keep an eye on Ethan, preventing anyone from seeing him.
Edward and Tyler could not take the mountain path up, but they were not deterred. If the main route was inaccessible, they could easily choose another path. If they were simply discouraged by a small obstacle, they would never have come so close to taking down Breeze City.
They found a local, paid him, and asked him to take them up the mountains via a secret, less- traveled path. The journey was smooth and safe. Before long, Edward and Tyler arrived at the mansion.
They eyed the mansion suspiciously. Something was not right.
They thought Ethan was supposed to be rotting in prison, so what was the mansion? Could it actually be the place where Ethan was staying?

With Nolan’s appointment as mayor, they immediately suspected Ethan of trying to reduce their influence over the city. He might even use Nolan’s position to dismantle their family’s control entirely.
