Ethan replied, “Their outfits and cooking skills have room for improvement, but it’s not bad overall.”
The South Regent turned to the two and said, “Hurry up and thank Lord Rivers for his comments.”
“Thank you,” said the two ladies at the same time.
The South Regent was in a good mood, so he opened a bottle of wine. He poured Ethan a glass and then poured one for himself as well. Although his main goal was not achieved, it was still not considered a failure:

Should he send over someone from North Hill City, Seaside City, Aqua City, or Celestial City? That would not work as the personnel there were in no position to be shifted. They could only bring someone over from the more developed cities. Such individuals would already be experienced in working in thriving environments.
Joseph suggested, “Breeze City’s deputy mayor should be a good candidate. He has been the deputy mayor for twenty years and has rich experience in management. Now’s a good time to promote him to mayor.”
Stephen asked with his eyes narrowed, “Do you have any other suggestions?”
Joseph shook his head. “I don’t know much about others.”
Stephen replied, “Fine then. I’ll look into him.”
After being deceived so many times, Stephen would no longer immediately trust what others said. He had to make sure of things himself.
“The second issue is…” Stephen began to continue.
“Wait a minute,” Joseph quickly interrupted. “The matters you want to discuss are crucial for Hill City, so wouldn’t it be better to wait until the new mayor is here before we dive into them?

Stephen thought for a moment before nodding in agreement. If they discussed everything
now, the new mayor would come in without a base understanding of things, which would not benefit Hill City.
