“Leo, are you peddling your products again?” Blake came back. “What are you selling this time?”
Leo smiled. “It’s a health supplement. Do you want a set, class prez? I’ll give you a 10% discount. If your whole family buys one set each, I’ll bump that up to 20%.”
Stephen wanted to say something but ultimately kept silent. This felt so foreign. He felt like he was meeting Leo for the first time.
“Shush! My health is fine.” Blake laughed. “Stephen is still young too. Why would he need health supplements? Besides, how could you push products at a class reunion?”
Leo said helplessly, “I have no choice. I’ve got a girlfriend, and we’re talking about marriage, but she wants an apartment near the city. Won’t you buy a set, class prez?”
Stephen’s eyes widened. Leo, the best student in their grade, had become desperate because of
money.
Blake ignored him and looked at Stephen instead. “What’s on your mind, Stephen?”
Stephen snapped back to his senses. “Nothing, nothing. I was just listening to you guys.”
“Are you feeling unwell? You can try my product! It cures insomnia.”
Blake clenched his fists. “Enough already!”
Leo flinched and immediately looked at the door. “Someone’s coming!” He ran off to sell his product to another classmate.
Blake also hurried over to greet his old friends.
Meanwhile, Stephen sat where he was. He could not understand how Leo and Blake had changed so much.
A dozen or so classmates arrived, but Stephen did not have much energy to greet them.
Just then, a pretty, young woman slowly walked in.
“Wow!” Everyone gasped.
Stephen snapped back to his senses and looked at the entrance, feeling a bit dazed when he saw the person.
The woman was just as beautiful as Rachel, had a great figure, and an equally exceptional aura. Stephen remembered who she was. She was the prettiest girl in the class, Chloe Monroe. She had even pursued him back then, but he had ignored her.
After all, the prettiest girl in the class could not hold a candle to the prettiest girl in the school. However, the latter had ignored him as well.

“The class belle looks even more beautiful now.” Blake laughed.
Chloe smiled demurely, “Thank you.” Her gaze scanned the room and landed on Stephen. Her eyes instantly lit up. She walked over to Stephen and slowly sat down
Stephen smelled a faint fragrance wafting from her.
“It’s been a long time, Stephen,” Chloe said softly,
“Yeah.” Stephen nodded. Chloe had grown more beautiful, but he did not think much of it. He cared more about Snow. Furthermore, he had Rachel at home.
Chloe saw his expression and smiled. “You’re still as indifferent as before.”
Before Stephen could speak, Chloe continued. “Don’t worry. I’m already married to someone I met abroad. I came back with him, so I can’t stay for long. I’ll be leaving after the meal. This might be my last reunion.“”
Stephen’s words caught in his throat.
“Honestly, I didn’t want to marry him, but my parents arranged it. I have no feelings for him, and he’s cold to me anyway.” Chloe pulled out a pack of cigarettes and took a slow drag
“What’s funny is that I have to spend the rest of my life with him. Stephen, I used to wonder if my life would be different if you had paid more attention to me.”
Stephen could not speak. He could not even meet Chloe’s eyes.
Chloe smiled. “You don’t have to say anything. I already know the answer. When’s the food arriving? I’m starving.” She stood up and ended the conversation.
Stephen sat where he was with his head lowered. He did not notice the rest of his classmates arriving.
Then, another woman walked in. As soon as she appeared, the lively atmosphere instantly fell quiet.
Leo frowned and whispered to Blake, “Why is she here?”
Blake shook his head. “I don’t know. I didn’t invite her.”
