He had not been able to see the man one last time, and now he would not even have the chance to apologize to his family, especially the girl. She was still so young, but he caused her father’s death. She must hate him for it.
Andy turned to the South Regent. “I’ll pay you. Just help me find them!”

The South Regent smiled. “I’m not that money–driven.”
“One million dollars!”
The South Regent smiled but said nothing.
“Three million!”
Still, there was no response.
“Five million!”
The South Regent chuckled and said, “Save it. I don’t need your five million. Earning that much is easy for me,
for me, but watching someone live the rest of their life in regret because they can’t apologize is rare.”
Andy clenched his fists in anger. However, he did not attack. He had fought the South Regent before and could not even take a single blow. Besides, this was the South Regent’s territory.
The South Regent continued, “I suggest that you calm down. Otherwise, I might find that girl and train her as an assassin, just for you.”
Andy’s eyes widened.
Beside him, Marcus, the interpreter, and the guards were stunned by the South Regent’s
words. It was brutal.
Andy quickly said, “I’m calm.”
His reaction made the South Regent laugh in amusement.
Not wanting to stay with the South Regent any longer, Andy hurriedly left with his men.
Now that the family was gone, he knew that finding them with his limited resources would be difficult, and offering a reward might only bring them more harm.
Andy realized that he only had two choices. The first was to search for them quietly like Stephen, or the second was to make the land outside the borders peaceful.
If he did that, the girl could live a peaceful life no matter where she was outside the borders. However, both methods were extremely challenging. For a moment, Andy had no idea where to begin.
On the drive back to Riveria, Andy thought long and hard, eventually landing on one name- Stephen.
He would ask Stephen’s help for money, resources, and ideas! Stephen owed him, so he had to help!
That night, Stephen had finished his dinner and returned to his room to shower when he felt an odd sense of unease.

“What’s going on?” he muttered, confused.
He did not know that Andy had set his sights on him.
After showering, Stephen got into bed early, excited for the school reunion happening tomorrow. With that in mind, he drifted off to sleep.
Morning came quickly. The butler knocked on his door to wake him up, reminding him about the reunion.
Stephen quickly got out of bed, washed up, and headed to the farmhouse at 8 a.m. As he was the first one there, he ordered some food. While he waited for breakfast to be served, someone arrived.
Looking up, he saw a man with glasses, a round face, and a beer belly approaching him.
Stephen did not recognize the
person.
“Who are you?”
“Stephen, it’s me, Blake.” Blake looked at Stephen and laughed. “You’ve gotten even more handsome over the years.”
