Chapter 394
The issues in Hill City had not yet been resolved. A new mayor had not been appointed, the damages from the forest fires were still uncompensated, and there was still Stone Village to deal with.
Andy’s recent disappearance in Hill City also caused such a stir, and it struck Stephen that he did not attend the memorial service for Julius and Tommy.
“I’m still thinking about it,” he answered honestly.
He had not figured out how to clean up the mess in Hill City.
Simon glared at him. “You’d better hurry up. George took the blame for you this time. You need to resolve the follow–up issues in Hill City as soon as possible.”
Stephen lowered his head. “I know.”
“Also, while work is important, you can’t neglect family matters either. You’re not getting any younger. When are you planning to have a child?”
Stephen instantly fell silent.
A child with Rachel? The thought had not even crossed his mind. Besides, Rachel would not let him touch her.
How would they have a child if they did not act like a married couple at all?
Stephen lowered his head. “I’m still waiting for Snow.”
“Snow?” Simon’s brows furrowed. “You’re still hung up about her? How is Rachel inferior to her?”
Simon was now very protective of Rachel. It was not only because she was young and beautiful, but because she was from a good family.
Besides, George had helped Stephen. Now that the Lowe family had crumbled, Rachel was all that was left. If Stephen went looking for Snow, what would happen to Rachel?
Stephen wanted to say that he had no feelings for Rachel and that she did not like him either, but he did not dare to voice it.
He said in a low voice, “I just want to find her and apologize.”
Simon was at a loss for words, but only then did he remember that Snow had died because of Stephen. What she had given up for him was no less than what George had done for Stephen.
After a long silence, Simon said, “In any case, don’t mistreat Rachel. I’ll break your legs if you dare hurt her! There’s nothing else now. Go back to work.”
Stephen stood up and left.

As Simon watched him leave, he couldn’t shake his lingering doubts about Andy’s true intentions. Was he really going to seek revenge on someone outside the border?
Suspicious, Simon quietly ordered his men to keep an eye on Andy’s actions in Riveria.
Meanwhile, Andy had arrived at Riveria. Without wasting a moment, he set off with Marcus and his guards, heading beyond the border. He even made a call to the South Regent before crossing over.
When the South Regent heard that Andy was coming, he asked, “Aren’t you going to take a few days‘ rest before seeking revenge?”
Andy shook his head. “I’m not here for revenge. I want to see some friends.”
The South Regent sounded surprised. “You made friends?”
“They may not know me, but I think of them as my friends,” said Andy.
“Interesting.”
The South Regent was curious and decided he would join to see what friends Andy had made.
Their first stop was the scene where Scarface and the other group fought. Craters left by explosions, vehicle debris, scattered shell casings, and dried bloodstains covered the area.
Andy did not know how fierce the fight was back then since it was night, but seeing it during the day now, he finally realized how bitter the fight had been.
He asked the South Regent, “There was a fierce fight here before. What was the outcome?”
The South Regent sent someone to find out.
Soon, the subordinate brought a villager to share what he knew. He explained that Scarface’s crew had been completely wiped out, and Scarface himself had taken half a magazine of bullets and was as dead as could be.
Andy’s voice trembled. “Where are the bodies?”
The interpreter relayed that to the villager.
“What bodies?” The villager said, “They have no families, so we dug a pit, threw them in, and burned them.”
The interpreter could not bear to tell Andy what was said.
“Speak,” Andy urged.
The interpreter had no choice but to report the truth.
After hearing what the villager said, Andy’s knees nearly buckled. If not for Marcus‘ quick reflexes, he would have fallen to the ground.
“Take me to where they were buried.” Andy felt all the strength drain from his body.
