Chapter 375
Stone Village plunged into chaos after Nico’s death, and there were few villagers left in the village.
“No. Why are you asking?” Stephen asked.
“Andy is missing,”
“What? How?” Stephen was shocked.
“I don’t know. We’re still investigating it. I suspect some organization or faction has taken him. That’s why I am calling you,” Marcus explained.
Stephen frowned.
Two days ago, Andy had come to him, asking if he knew anyone related to the South Regent, and at his wedding, the South Regent had presented him with a bullet, the bullet that shot his man to death.
Now, Andy was missing, and Stephen started to feel nervous.
Could the South Regent be targeting the people around him? If the bullet he received was the one that was used to shoot the South Regent’s man to death, would the South Regent use it to take out his friends?
He could not wait any longer. He had to get to Hill City.
When Stephen arrived, he rendezvoused with Marcus and headed to the company owned by the South Regent.
The owner of the company met with them.
“Welcome, Mr. Quinn and Mr. West. What can I do for you today? I wish you could have informed me earlier of your arrival so that we could receive you better.”
Shawn was not interested in pleasantries. He cut straight to the point.
“Andy White is missing.”
The owner looked surprised. “What happened to him?”
“Stop playing dumb! Andy came looking for you guys, and now he’s disappeared. Where is he? Where did you take him?” Stephen argued.
“Do you have any evidence on that?” the owner said with narrowed eyes.
Although they had taken Andy to the South Regent, they were careful, leaving no evidence behind. Even Andy’s phone was left behind in the hotel room. Instead, he was given a brand new phone to prevent him from escaping and also served as a tracking point.
Stephen did not reply. He had a hunch that the South Regent took Andy, but he had no proof.

Chapter 375
He punched the table angrily and then left with Marcus.
“What should we do now?” Marcus asked, equally frustrated.
Andy was missing and the enemy refused to admit it.
Stephen remained silent. He, too, had run out of options.
A quick thought later, he said, “We’ll just have to wait. If Andy has been taken away, they will certainly call us with their terms and conditions. Let’s just wait it out.‘
– “”
Another day went by, but still, there was no sign of the enemy. During that time, the Whites had called Marcus, urging him to bring Andy back as soon as possible.
In the evening, Stephen and Marcus lost patience in waiting, so they decided to go to the company again.
“You took Andy. What’s your goal here?” Stephen asked.
The owner chuckled. “You might have gotten the wrong idea. We’re a reputable company. Why would we kidnap someone like Andy White? That would only hurt our business reputation here in Hill City.”
Stephen clenched his fists tightly. He really wanted to punch the man in the face, but he knew he could not do that.
The owner could tell that Stephen and Marcus were anxious.
With a sly smile, he said, “We might not have taken Andy White, but we do have news on him!”
“What?” said Stephen and Marcus in unison.
The owner casually pulled out his phone and handed it to them.
Stephen and Marcus took it. Seeing a video queued up on the screen, they pressed play.
In the video, a homeless man was sitting by the roadside, hungrily devouring scraps of food left behind by others. He was eating like a ravenous animal, his appearance disheveled and pitiful.
The two of them were baffled. “What are you trying to show us with this?”
The owner said, “You don’t understand? Press play again.”
Stephen and Marcus exchanged glances before replaying the video.
This time, at the two–second mark, the homeless man glimpsed into the camera. When Marcus saw the eyes of the homeless man, he was shocked.
He quickly dragged the video’s progress bar back and paused.
“The eyes, the face…”
