The South Regent gulped nervously, shaken by what Ethan said.
He asked, “Are those the reasons you came up with?”
“Not all of them.”
Ethan had more than three ways to save his men. The three options he provided were simply selected after considering himself, the South Regent, and the South Regent’s opponents. They might not be the best option, but they were more than enough to deal with the South Regent.
Ethan said, “I don’t need reasons to take them back.”
The South Regent stiffened, his whole body tensing up. “What do you mean?“,
“I’ll just beat you up.”
“You think you can take me?”
The South Regent found it amusing, but he dared not laugh. The three options Ethan provided had pressured him immensely.
He got up and asked, “Why don’t we have a little spar?”
He did not want to miss the opportunity to fight Ethan. He might not be as eloquent as the man, but he might still stand a chance to beat him physically. It might be his only chance at victory.
“Sure.”
Ethan nodded.
The South Regent ordered his men to stand down. Then, he got into position and charged at Ethan before aiming a kick at Ethan’s chest.
Ethan did not bother to dodge. Instead, he bent backward and did an upward roundhouse kick. His kick landed precisely at the South Regent’s chest, sending the man flying and then tumbling a few times upon crashing.
The South Regent could barely keep himself together. He was kicked in the chest?
He quickly recollected his thoughts and pushed himself up from the floor, bouncing up nimbly.
“I underestimated you. This time, I won’t go easy on you.”
He cracked his knuckle as he strode toward Ethan, faster this time and his stance steady, entering battle mode. He then threw a series of rapid punches aimed at Ethan’s face.
Ethan tapped the incoming punches away and seized the window to land another punch at the South Regent’s chest.

The South Regent grunted in pain. It hurt like hell, but since he had been through worse growing up, he was able to endure the punch. However, before he could catch a breath, Ethan landed another punch on the same spot.
This time, the South Regent could not hold his own and staggered backward. With his countless years of experience in close combat, he wanted to seize the chance to land a kick at Ethan’s abdomen while he was staggering back, hoping to inflict at least some damage.
However, Ethan saw it coming. He turned his body, dodging the frail kick, and charged up his leg for another sweeping kick.
“Ugh!”
The South Regent groaned once more, falling on the floor miserably.
He wanted to get up with a frontal flip, but the pain in his chest prevented him from doing so. He was forced to push himself up with both his hands.
His forehead was glistening with sweat. When he got up on his feet, his face had turned pale and his body was shaking.
“You can still get up, huh? I’ve finally found one thing you’re good at. You can take a beating.” Ethan smirked.
The South Regent tried to argue, but the immense pain in his chest robbed him of his words. The kick on his chest almost knocked him out cold. If not for his regular training, he would have passed out on the spot.
It took him a full minute to get used to the pain.
“You’re stronger than I thought, but it’s not enough to defeat me!” the South Regent said.
Ethan did not bother arguing with stubborn people. Instead, he walked toward the South Regent.
With his teeth clenched, the South Regent performed another kick at Ethan’s face, but Ethan caught his leg with one hand and lifted it up.
As his leg was lifted high above his head, the South Regent lost his balance and fell backward. The impact of the fall hurt his entire body.
His men, watching from the sidelines, winced at the sight. How many times had he fallen now? They could not believe the South Regent was being humiliated like that.
He tried his best to get back on his feet, barely steadying himself, when a slap landed on his face with a smack.
The South Regent’s eyes widened in shock. He could not believe someone had slapped him. He stiffly turned to Ethan, but before he could speak another slap landed on his face. Now, both sides of his face hurt, and the slaps sent him staggering backward.

Ethan moved forward, trying to deliver another slap, but the South Regent panicked and quickly covered his right cheek. However, it was no use because Ethan used his other hand to slap him on the left, leaving him stunned. He was slapped three times in front of his men!
Seeing Ethan was not done yet, he quickly cried, “Stop! I surrender!”
