Chapter 370
“Release me!”
Andy bellowed as soon as he saw the South Regent. “Do you know who I am?”
The South Regent nodded. “The son of the Whites, Andy White.”
Andy grunted and said coldly, “If you know who I am, release me now! If anything happens to me, my family will come after you!
The South Regent nodded. “I know.”
The Whites were one of the more influential families in the capital, possessing extremely powerful authority. If something happened to Andy while in captivity, the South Regent might also face severe consequences. However, it did not mean he could not do anything to Andy.
Having lost to Ethan too many times, he understood something. No matter how powerful someone was or how many followers they had, no one could ever be all–powerful.
Andy said, “Release me now. Apologize and I can let this slip.”
The South Regent gestured at his man to release Andy.
When Andy regained his freedom, he grinned with delight and was in awe of how powerful his family’s reputation was. To think the infamous South Regent beyond the borders was so afraid of him that they released him upon demand!
He had heard of the South Regent’s infamous reputation before. People called him ruthless and vicious, but now, he found the man underwhelming. The man dared not even raise his voice at him.
He scrutinized the South Regent and suddenly recalled Marcus mentioning that Ethan had defeated him in just ten moves.
“I heard you fought Ethan Rivers before and was defeated in ten moves.
The South Regent nodded. That was no secret–many people beyond the borders knew about it.
Three years ago, the South Regent captured two military experts, thinking he could use them as leverage to threaten Ethan. However, in less than a day, Ethan came to him, alone. The South Regent refused to release the captives because he had been losing every battle he had with Ethan, Only the news of continuous victories against other forces on his home turf kept him from going insane.

Chapter 370
“I have no reasons to and I do not listen to you.”
The South Regent chuckled as he leaned on his makeshift throne. “But I can give you two options. One, give me a valid reason and I’ll release them; if not, you will stay.
“Two, fight me. If you win, take them away; if you lose, stay as well.”
He felt more confident than ever. He believed no matter what Ethan chose, he believed it would result in a loss. He had no weakness now. Unless Ethan could make a huge offer, there was no way he could persuade him to release the captives.
If Ethan made an offer to bring the captives away, he would lose, and if Ethan chose to fight, there was no way he could win. The South Regent had lived on the streets since he was young. In that chaotic place, one’s fists held more power than words.
“Choose. Why aren’t you choosing? Don’t you like to choose?” the South Regent asked with a grin.
Ethan said calmly, “I can tell you that one of your battalions is crossing a dangerous place, and if I contact your enemies now and tell them the location of your battalion, how high do you think the odds will be for your men to make it out alive?
“I can also tell you that even if your enemies team up, their alliance is shaky at best. I know which of your fortifications are weakly defended and which of your men are. secretly disloyal to you. If I helped them, how long do you think you’d remain in power?
“One more thing, my men are waiting for my order to level this place to the ground.”
The grin on the South Regent’s face disappeared and was replaced by dread.
Ethan had given him three reasons, and each one struck fear in his heart. He had no choice but to release the captives. Not only that, but he had to escort the captives away safely, or the consequences would be dire.
Everyone else lowered their heads, their faces pale with fear. Ethan’s words had sent chills down their spines, leaving them trembling in silence.
