Marcus did not understand what Ethan meant at the time. It was not until later that they heard that the assassins turned on each other, with four dead and two severely injured. Only Numbers Two and Five remained relatively unscathed.
It was then that Marcus finally understood what Ethan meant. The nine assassins‘ enemy was not Ethan–it was each other!
Whoever killed Ethan would get 300 million, and each of them believed they could kill Ethan easily. However, they all saw the other assassins as the real threat, so they turned on each other, eliminating their competition.
It was supposed to be nine assassins against Ethan. However, under Ethan’s orchestration, it turned each of the nine assassins against each other, while Ethan remained untouchable!
When Number Five realized they had all fallen for Ethan’s scheme, he tried to assassinate Ethan out of anger. However, instead of defending himself, Éthan simply sent Number Three a video of Number Five gravely injuring another assassin!
The strongest, Number Three, immediately understood the truth. Number Five had been a traitor all along, secretly killing the others. In a rage, Number Three hunted Number Five down and killed him on the spot.
In the end, five of the nine assassins died at their own comrades‘ hands, and two were left crippled for life because of the infighting. Even though their enemy was Ethan, except for Number Three, none saw Ethan before their deaths!

Finally, on a dark and windy night, Number Three found Ethan alone. He had come to kill Ethan.
Ethan asked, “Must we fight?“.
“I’ve lost eight brothers to this. You must pay for their lives,” Number Three said with determination.
Ethan smiled faintly. “Too bad you can’t kill me.”
At that moment, the door burst open with a bang. Marcus and several other military experts rushed in.
Number Three gritted his teeth in anger. Though the strongest, he was not confident in winning against several renowned military experts.
“Ethan, is this all you’ve got? Hiding behind others, using dirty tricks? I’ll take with me, even if it’s the last thing I do!” he shouted and lunged at Ethan.

Number Three never considered Ethan a threat. What kind of real combat skills could someone who pulled strings from behind the scenes possibly have?
He swung a powerful punch at Ethan’s head, his fist cutting through the air with enough force to knock someone down. However, the next second, Ethan’s left hand shot out, catching his fist in mid–air. Then, without a moment’s pause, Ethan’s right hand struck Number Three’s abdomen.
The speed and power left Number Three wide–eyed and in shock. Still, he reacted quickly by aiming his left first for Ethan’s stomach.
Ethan reacted by releasing Number Three’s fist and striking the latter’s shoulder with his palm, throwing Number Three off balance and forcing him half a step back.
Number Three quickly regained his footing, but before he could even steady himself, Ethan kicked him hard in the chest. The immense impact shook him to his core, forcing him to back several steps.
Number Three rubbed his chest and glared at Ethan through gritted teeth.
“You do have some skill, but you will die today!”
He reached for his waist, intending to draw his gun and shoot Ethan dead. When his hand touched his waist, he froze.
It was empty! The gun was gone!
“Looking for this?” Ethan said calmly, holding up the gun.
“That’s impossible!”

Number Three’s eyes widened in disbelief. His gun had somehow appeared in Ethan’s
hand.
“When did you-”
His mind raced as he replayed their brief exchange. It was after the punch that Ethan had taken the gun in one fluid motion!

“With your skills, you could’ve taken on all nine of us alone. So why resort to tricks?”
