Chapter 334
Nico turned around and aimed his gun at George.
“Calm down.” George tensed up in fear and subconsciously took a step back.
“I’m calm.”
Nico was about to pull the trigger when Tommy’s voice suddenly rang out at the door.
“Dad, stop!”
Startled, Nico turned to see Stephen and Tommy standing at the door. In shock, he immediately grabbed Julius, who was by his feet, and pressed the gun against his head.
Seeing that he had a hostage, Stephen gulped and said, “Nico, calm down. Put Julius down.”
Nico asked, “Why are you here?”
Stephen and Tommy’s arrival was outside of his expectations.
“Dad, put down the gun. This place is already surrounded,” Tommy replied.
Stephen had brought the police, and George had also called them before coming over, so they were all waiting outside.
“You betrayed me?” Nico glared at Tommy, enraged. “You’re my son. How could you betray me?”
Tommy choked up, “I’m not betraying you. I just don’t want you to make any more
mistakes.”
He slowly walked toward Nico, trying to find a chance to take the gun away.
“Ridiculous!” Nico spat coldly, “What have I done wrong? The ones at fault are Ethan and Hill City!”
Nico would not stop. He had prepared for this day for too long. Besides, Julius, George, and Stephen were all present now. If he took all of them out, no one would be left to control
him!
At that thought, he pointed the gun at George and pulled the trigger. With a bang, the gunshot echoed in the factory.
Once the noise died down, George’s eyes widened in shock, Stephen could not believe what he was seeing, and Nico was just as stunned. It was because… Tommy had stepped in front of George, and the bullet pierced through Tommy’s heart.
Blood gushed out Tommy’s chest, and he slowly fell to his knees, looking up at Nico with much difficulty. “Dad, let it go. Don’t continue down this path.”

Chapter 334
Nico’s mind went blank, and a buzzing noise filled his head. He realized he had shot his son, his only family left.
“No!” he screamed and threw the gun aside, rushing to hold Tommy in his arms frantically.
“Dad, you’ve never listened to me. Listen to me this one time. Stop. Don’t make any more mistakes.”
Nico’s eyes reddened. “Stop talking.”
“I have to,” Tommy said weakly. “If I don’t say it now, I’m afraid I’ll never get the chance to.”
When he knelt to Ethan, he had accepted his fate.
Back then, Ethan gave him three choices, and he chose death. He wanted to use his death to awaken Nico’s conscience and stop him from further hurting Stone Village and Hill City.
“I know you’ve always hated Mr. Rivers, but he has helped me a lot. When you weren’t around, Mr. Rivers made sure I was fed and clothed. He even helped me with finishing high school and getting into college.
“He also guessed this ending of mine and wanted me to leave Riveria and start a new life…” Nico hugged Tommy tightly, finding himself at a loss for words.

After the words left his mouth, Tommy fell silent.
Nico trembled as he checked for Tommy’s breath, but there was none.
He held Tommy’s body as he roared toward the sky, “No!”
At that moment, Nico recalled himself holding his brother’s body three years ago, on the same rainy day, devastated.
