Back then, Ethan had made Nico kill his own brother. His parents died of illness and his wife left him. His family was shattered, and he was locked up for three years. He had nothing except his son when he was released.
Ethan wanted him to fall into despair and devastation, but he made the biggest comeback and became the village chief of Stone Village. He led everyone into making more money and could soon unleash vengeance on Hill City.
If Ethan found out that he had grown so powerful, the man would lose his mind.
George asked, “Are
u talking about Ethan?”
Nico asked, “Do you know where he is? Ethan helped us a lot, and without him, there wouldn’t be a Stone Village. I want to thank him in person. Can you tell me where he is?”
George sighed at Nico’s request. He could not understand why everyone missed Ethan so much. “He’s in Drakthorn Ridge, but you won’t be seeing him.”
Nico marked down the location nonetheless.
George left the village after he was done verifying the evidence. When he left, he was more convinced than ever that Julius wa
the problematic one and that he had to be careful.
Nico called his son over and said, “I am going to Drakthorn Ridge to find Ethan Rivers. While I am away, watch the village and follow my plan step by step.”
Tommy did not want to comply but he had no choice. Nico was his father, his only family member left in this world. He had to do it, so he marked down Ethan’s location.
Nico headed to the capital.
When the sun rose on the second day, he headed to Drakthorn Ridge. He saw guards along the road, but they were not a problem. Back in the day, he and his brother always ventured into the mountains to gather food.
Nico snuck into the woods to avoid the guards and made it to Ethan’s mansion. He saw the door was wide open.
“This is it.” He gulped nervously at the door and instinctively reached out to his
gun. However, he soon realized he was unarmed because he could not bring it onto the plane earlier. Instead, he took a deep breath and walked into the mansion.
When he stepped into the door, he saw Ethan in the living room.

had passed but Ethan looked the same. He was still a handsome man with a mature demeanor, appearing somewhat cold.
“Ethan Rivers!” Nico went over and sat down in front of Ethan.

Ethan put the teapot on the table and said calmly, “If you are thirsty, go ahead and pour yourself some tea.
“I am not here to have tea,” Nico said coldly.
Ethan nodded. “I know. You are here to brag.”
Nico frowned. Ethan knew the purpose of his visit! “How did
you know?!”
“You came in with a fierce look. I think it’s not one of gratitude,” Ethan’said as he looked at Nico calmly. “It has been three years, and you have learned nothing. You should be the village chief of Stone Village now, walking the same path as your brother.”
Nico was rendered speechless by Ethan’s precise assumption. “I am. You are right. I became the village chief, I told the villagers to cut down trees, open up the mines, and start working for the people beyond the borders. They are making a lot of money. Soon, we will be able to retaliate against Hill City. As for you, you can only sit here and watch Hill City go down in ruins!”
Ethan chuckled. “That’s a good plan, but too bad I don’t care. North Hill City, Seaside City, Aqua City, and Celestial City…did I give a damn?”
Nico was stunned. He thought Ethan would lose his mind after knowing his plan. He did not expect the calmness. He felt aggrieved like he had punched air.
Ethan continued, “But I would still suggest you let it go as soon as possible. Don’t forget what happened to your brother. If you walk down the same path, you will end up in the same grave as him.”
