Chapter 251
“That’s a good point. We can consider it.”
Stephen stood up and said, “Let’s go to Azure Cloud Mountain now and take a look. We’ll only know if it’s suitable for developing into a tourist area if we check it out in person.”
He did not want any tragedies happening under his watch again.
Recently, he had been waking up in terror from the same nightmare, where eight people with pale faces questioned him, “Why did you cause our deaths?”
James led the way, and soon, George and Stephen arrived at the foot of Azure Cloud Mountain.
“The mountain is 700 meters tall,” James explained. “Although it’s not the tallest mountain in Riveria, it’s well known. There are two churches on the mountain. One was built 300 years ago and has been abandoned. Now, it’s just a tourist attraction and a historical landmark. The other was built twenty years ago and is still active. You’ll see worshipers going up the mountain to pray every day.
“And that’s not all. There’s also a karst cave on the mountain. Once you pass through the cave, you’ll find another sight known as the Divine Palm.”
Stephen looked surprised. “Divine Palm?”
James explained, “It’s a large rock that, after years of sun, rain, and wind, resembled a palm. We named it the Divine Palm to attract tourists.”
Stephen nodded. “I see.”
“After passing the Palm, the trail flattens out for a bit, and you’ll come across an old pine tree. It’s twisted and gnarled. People call it the ‘Immortal’s Guide‘.
“Then, the path gets steeper, like climbing a set of stairs about 200 meters straight up. That section is known as Dragon’s Ascent. The name symbolizes that people who through it will rise to greater heights like a dragon taking to the skies.

“Due to the steepness of Dragon’s Ascent, many people offer a service at the entrance, where they’ll carry you up the path for a fee in an old–fashioned carriage. It’s a booming business.”
George and Stephen nodded in understanding. The symbolism of being carried through Dragon’s Ascent was quite appealing.
“Once you get through Dragon’s Ascent, there’s a glass walkway. After that, you’re almost at the summit.”
Stephen listened to James‘ description of the sights on Azure Cloud Mountain and nodded

in approval.
“Not bad. No wonder Azure Cloud Mountain is classified as a popular tourist destination.” The scenery along the way was breathtaking. People could touch the clouds from the top and seek spiritual peace at the bottom, balancing both spiritual and physical aspects.
“Azure Cloud Mountain is great.”
Then, Stephen glanced at the lake.
“Is this the lake you mentioned? What’s special about it?”
James smiled awkwardly. “Nothing. It’s just an ordinary lake.”
Stephen frowned. “That won’t do. Azure Cloud Mountain is beautiful. If the lake is nothing special, it’ll drag the mountain down with it. You have to come up with a story, even if you have to make something up.”
An idea popped up in James‘ mind, and he smiled. “Actually, there’s a story. This lake is called Crystal Lake, and there’s a church on the mountain. We can create a love story about a priest falling in love with a troll, but they could never be together, so they ended their lives for love.”
George’s eyes lit up. “That’s a good idea! I noticed a stone bridge over the lake. We can add to the story. How about… It’s said that if a couple walks across the bridge together under an umbrella in the rain, they’ll never be separated and live happily ever after!”
Stephen applauded. “Now, that’s a story. It’ll be sure to attract plenty of tourists.”
It would especially attract couples. Who could resist a promise of never being separated and living happily ever after?
