“Hmph. Their leaving might affect Celestial City’s economy a little, but as long as we can get Richard’s investment, we can fill the hole.
“Once they leave, many spots in the city will open up, and other companies will compete fiercely to fill their positions!”
George did a quick calculation.
The departure of those companies might not cause significant losses to Celestial City. He could also address the underlying issues in one sweep, which could ultimately benefit the city more than the losses from the companies leaving.
“Once Celestial City’s GDP crosses the three–trillion mark, they will regret it! They will then realize that following Ethan is the worst mistake they’ve made in their lives! Without Ethan, Riveria will continue to thrive and prosper!”
George glanced at his watch. “Stephen should be talking to Richard about the deal now.”
On the other side of town, Stephen went straight to meet Richard at his place.
With a bright smile, he asked, “Richard, when are we going to sign the contract?”
Richard had two women in his arms. “We can sign it now.”
“I see. Then, this way please.” Stephen led Richard out of the mansion.
Given how significant the contract was, it must be signed under witnesses.
Richard got into the rear seat with his women while Stephen took the
passenger seat.
In the bodyguard’s mind, thoughts raced unspoken. Originally, there should be two bodyguards at Richard’s side at all times, but the women occupied those spots.
One of the bodyguards warned Richard to stay alert at all times and never leave their sight.
Nonetheless, Richard was infatuated with lust. Because the bodyguards were cock- blocking him from having fun with the ladies, he scolded them.
Eight of the bodyguards were forced to sit in the other car as they trailed Richard’s car closely.
After monitoring the city for some time, the bodyguards concluded that it was relatively safe, thus they became more relaxed in their security measures.

The convoy moved out, heading towards the location for the contract signing.
However, when they reached a junction, right after Richard’s car crossed, two trucks came in from both sides and sandwiched the car in between them.
Due to the size of the trucks, the bodyguards‘ line of sight to Richard’s car was obstructed. When the trucks drove away, Richard’s car was also gone.
The bodyguards were alarmed and shocked.
Stephen realized something was off. “This isn’t the way to the office.
The driver glanced at Stephen and chuckled. “It is not.”
The car slowed down as the doors of one of the trucks swung open.
A ramp unfolded, and a car reversed out from inside.
Then, the driver drove into the empty trucks.
Richard was shocked. “You’re abducting me?!”

The windows rolled down, and a man pressed a gun to Richard’s head, saying, “So what?”
Richard turned pale, and he wisely stayed quiet.
Stephen got so nervous that his body stiffened. “Calm down, guys. Don’t do anything rash!”
The door opened, and a young man dragged Stephen out of the car.
“Stephen Quinn, I assume. Cut the crap and follow us!”
He pointed the gun at Stephen’s back and forced him to jump out of the truck before shoving him into another car, which was the one that had reversed out of the truck.
After Stephen was shoved into the driver’s seat, the young man with the gun got into the
rear seat.
The ramp was folded once more, and the door of the truck closed up.
