Once outside the house, Stephen asked Snow, “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. I understand how Rachel feels, so I’ll talk to her when I get the time. I just want
to be with you,” Snow said softly.
Moved by Snow’s resolve, he said, “I want you to meet someone.”
Snow’s heart skipped a beat. Was she finally going to meet Ethan?
Still, she asked, “Who is it?”
Stephen scoffed. “My arch nemesis. Let’s go.
With that, he drove to Drakthorn Ridge with her
He had been waiting half a month to see Ethan again. In that time, everything in Aqua City had gone smoothly for him, and he had even found love, which would surely crush Ethan when they met again.
A while later, they arrived at the mansion. Staring at the mansion, Snow felt nervous. The one responsible for Nina’s death was beyond those doors.
Different questions flooded her mind: what was he like? How did he do it? How should she take revenge?
“Come on,” Stephen, who was already a few steps in, said when he noticed Snow had not followed him in.
He turned around and saw her freeze on the spot, staring at the mansion blankly.
“Are you scared of my arch nemesis? Don’t worry. He’s no match for me anymore,” he said. confidently.
Snow looked at him, feeling disgusted.
No match? The fool had no idea he was being used by her, Oliver, and the others.
Stephen came over, took her hand, and led her inside.
Once in the living room, Snow finally saw Ethan in person. When she laid eyes on him, she was caught off guard by the sight of him.
She had tried to imagine what Ethan looked like countless times. He might be tall, slim, fat, or even ferocious–looking. However, now that she had seen him with her own eyes, all her
guesses were wrong.
At that moment, Ethan was sitting on the couch calmly, looking at her with an expressionless face. The man responsible for Nina’s death was looking at her!
Chapter 142
Stephen went up to Ethan with a smile, saying, Ethan, it’s been half a month. How are you? I bet it’s lonely living here alone.”
Ethan chuckled. “I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I’m actually enjoying the show.”
Snow frowned, feeling as if Ethan had seen right through her.
“A show?” Stephen scoffed. “Have you lost your mind from being here too long? You’re alone here. What show is there to enjoy?”
Ethan said, “So close, yet so far.”
He was actually referring to Stephen. The moment he saw Snow, he understood everything
It had been three years, yet Oliver and the other businessmen had not given up on Aqua City. They were back to their old trick, using the same boring play of seduction, and it seemed like Stephen had fallen for it.
He wondered how Stephen would react when Snow disappeared from his life.
Stephen did not get it. “Are speaking you in riddles now? You’ve really lost your mind.”
He was ecstatic that he had finally beaten Ethan–big time! Ethan was starting to behave strangely.
“Let me introduce you.” Stephen held Snow’s hand and said, “This is Snow, my woman. I have Rachel and Snow by my side now, but what about you? You can only spend the rest of your life locked up in this shithole!”
Ethan looked at him, trying to stifle a laugh.
“Remember how quickly you were to investigate the harem I had? You acted so righteous. about it. Now look at you, starting your own harem. Do you even remember what you said back then?”
Stephen froze.
He remembered the first thing he did when he arrived in Riveria was investigate Ethan’s harem. He criticized Ethan’s immoral behavior, but it turned out all those women were the widows of the soldiers who had sacrificed their lives for the country; Ethan was just taking care of them and their families.
Ethan never had a harem, and the one with the mistress now was Stephen.
