Chapter 132
“It shouldn’t be a problem. He’s not Ethan Rivers, after all.”
As long as Ethan was not their opponent, they were not afraid.
Meanwhile, Stephen had just concluded the mapping out for the city.
“Let’s call it a day. I’ll visit the marked sites tomorrow.”
The next day, he and the mayor visited the sites. Along the way, he was captivated by Aqua City’s stunning scenery, and it made him emotional.
“This place is beautiful.”
The
mayor replied with a smile, “It will only become more beautiful under leadership.”
Pleased with the response, Stephen let out a hearty laugh.

Soon, they arrived at the first site–a residential area with a river flowing in the center.
After surveying the place, Stephen said, “This is the perfect place for some farms and bed- and–breakfasts. And if we build more hotels by the side, I bet they’d be fully booked in no
time.”
The mayor’s assistant wrote down every detail Stephen mentioned.
After another round of inspection, they wrapped up the inspection and were about to head to the second site when suddenly, a cool breeze blew. The trees lining both sides of the river swayed gracefully with the wind, and a straw sunhat flew through the air before landing in front of Stephen.

He glanced down at it. The woven from straws, with a beautiful lily flower tucked on top.
As he bent over to pick it up, a timid voice called out from ahead of him. “Excuse me.”
Stephen looked up, stunned. Standing in front of him was a young woman in a white dress. The soft breeze tousled her hair, and for a moment, Stephe
was completely mesmerized.
Her features were not the most striking, but her innocent, shy demeanor hit him right in the heart.
“That hat is mine,” the girl shyly said, her head bowed as she stared at her feet.
Stephen handed her the sun hat:
“Thank you.”
The girl picked up the hat and looked up at Stephen, offering him a grateful smile.
When their eyes locked, Stephen was captivated by her crystal–clear eyes. He even forgot to release his grip on the hat.
The girl gave it a gentle tug, and when it did not budge, she blushed, asking, “Sir?”
Snapping out of it, Stephen quickly let go and smiled awkwardly. “I’m sorry.
“No, no. I’m sorry. Thank you for returning my hat,” the girl replied.
With that, the conversation came to an awkward halt, and an uncomfortable silence lingered between them.
Ten seconds later, the girl said, “My friend is waiting for me. I have to go. Thank you so much, sir.”
Then, she turned and hurried away, leaving Stephen standing there, slightly disappointed. The girl might not be as stunning as Rachel, but she possessed something Rachel lacked- pure innocence.
As the son of a prestigious family, Stephen had always lived a privileged life. If he wanted a woman, the woman would be delivered to his bed. However, this time, things were different; he did not want it the usual way.
Just then, the mayor walked over and noticed the distracted look on Stephen’s face. What’s the matter?”
“Huh? N–Nothing,” Stephen snapped out of it and said, “Let’s go to the next site.”
Further away, the girl entered a Mercedes.
“How did it go?” the owner of the steel factory, Oliver, asked as he pulled her closer by her waist. “What do you think of Stephen?”
The girl, Snow Green, was the one he sent to seduce Stephen.
“A gullible person. I believe I’ve left a strong first impression,” Snow said.
“Very well.” Oliver nodded but then added cautiously, “Be careful. Don’t forget what happened to your predecessor.”
Snow fell silent.
Her predecessor was sent to seduce Ethan, but on the second day of the operation, she killed herself after taking her employer’s life.
Snow remembered what her predecessor had said to her during their last meeting. “Leave Riveria tomorrow.”
However, she did not leave Riveria as advised and stayed to search for Ethan. Hence, when she was tasked with seducing Stephen, she accepted it in a heartbeat. She wanted to use
