Suzy chuckled. “So, why don’t you go and bring her over?”
“…Boss, you already knew?” Allen laughed at himself, “Well, of course, someone as sharp as you wouldn’t be in the dark about anything.”
“What would I know?” Suzy looked bewildered, “I don’t know anything. I just think Lilian’s been through a lot. Plus, she happens to share the same last name as you—that’s all I know.”

gave a bitter smile. “She’s my sister, my biological sister! Honestly, all these years, I’ve wanted to get her out of the Wheeler family, but I didn’t want to trouble you…‘

Suzy flicked his forehead. “Am I that useless in your eyes, that I can’t even deal with the Wheeler family?”
Allen rubbed the sore spot she’d hit. “Of course not, I just thought it’s better to keep things simple. After all, you still have a major grudge to settle…”
“Enough with the excuses. Do whatever you want from now on,” Suzy interrupted, annoyed. “What are you waiting for? Go and get your sister.”
Allen gave Suzy a deep look. “Having a boss like you, this life of mine has been worth it.”
After saying this, he turned to leave, but Suzy called him back, “Just bring her over, don’t do anything else.”
Allen looked a bit confused. “Why?”
Judging by his boss‘ expression, it seemed his sister would still have to carry the blame for
now.
“She even jumped from the 88th floor…” Suzy smirked mischievously. “After paying such a steep price, we might as well let Anne enjoy her moment.”
Although Allen wasn’t thrilled, he nodded. “Got it.”
Watching Allen walk away, Suzy finally spoke the truth to herself, “With Anne keeping him busy, Dylan won’t be coming around to bother me.”
The following days were pleasantly quiet.
Suzy ate, slept, then ate and slept some more. She couldn’t have been more content.
Of course, she still managed to get a few things done. For instance, she continued Claude’s treatment, found a new piece of land to replace the previous one, and overturned Julian’s original project plan, designing a new one specifically for Claude.

The AI project Julian was about to launch was impressive, but it didn’t particularly interest
her.
After all, AI wasn’t exactly a groundbreaking field–Wright Corporation had already been working on it and doing quite well at that.
Anything Dylan was involved in, she had no interest in.
Compared to artificial intelligence, she thought renewable energy development was far more impressive.
The truth was, she wanted nothing more than to cut all ties with Dylan–no matter how small.
Claude was fully supportive of her stance, though he felt it was putting too much strain her. “Suzy, the Harlow family business is my responsibility, not yours.”
“I’ve told
you, I’m doing it for myself,” Suzy replied, disliking his insistence. “Being by your side makes it easier to get close to the Goodwin family. You’re helping me out, so I can’t just sit back and do nothing, can I?”
“But…”
“No buts!” Suzy moved behind him, giving him a gentle push. “The bidding conference for the new project is coming up. As the big boss, I think you should get yourself two new suits tailored in advance.”
Claude smiled indulgently. “If you don’t like hearing it, I won’t say it. But I’ll what I owe you, little by little.”

The two were chatting and laughing as they headed out, only to open the door and see Dylan stepping out of the elevator, led by the receptionist.
