Chapter 0690
Suzy handled her father with the care and patience one might use with a child, gently coaxing him into a good
mood.
They say the elderly become like children again, and in his case, it couldn’t have been more true.
Especially since his rationality was further affected by medication, making him even less like an average person.
Thus, Suzy had always been patient, accommodating his every whim.
Whatever he wanted to do, she went along with it, almost never refusing him.
But she hadn’t expected his latest request to be this…
“A trip isn’t necessary. I don’t want to go anywhere. Even if I did, I’d only go with Char,” Timothy said, his expression softening at the mention of Charlotte.
“Actually, I called you today for something else. I want you to arrange a wedding for me and Char
“What did you just say?” Suzy wondered if she was hearing things.
“Why are you making such a big deal out of it?” Timothy was displeased with her reaction.
་་
“Char has been with me for so many years, and I’ve never given her a proper wedding. Now that we’re both at this age, I don’t want her to have any regrets. So yes, I want to marry her.”
Suzy was stunned.
She hadn’t expected her father to make such a request. “Dad, are you serious about this?”
“What do you mean?” Timothy’s face darkened.
“Why wouldn’t I be serious about marrying Char? What, you don’t approve?”
“What about her?” Suzy asked. “Have you even asked for her opinion?”
“There’s no need to ask,” Timothy replied impatiently.
“If she didn’t want to marry me, she wouldn’t have stayed with me all these years. If you don’t approve, just say it outright. There’s no need to put everything on Char!
“Whether you approve or not, I’m going to marry her. Telling you isn’t asking for your permission–it’s just informing you.”
With that, he turned and walked away, hands clasped behind his back, his attitude as arrogant as could be.
His demeanor left Suzy seething. She called for the fake Charlotte. “My father says he wants to marry you. Figure out a way to make him give up on this idea.”
But the fake Charlotte simply said, “Miss Frost, your father can be quite stubborn at times. He doesn’t listen to me at all.”
Suzy’s gaze turned sharp. “Don’t tell me you’re actually considering marrying him?”
The fake Charlotte pursed her lips. “After spending this time with Mr. Frost, I’ve come to think he’s a very good man.”
“Even though there’s a significant age gap between us, sometimes age isn’t an issue when two people are together,” the fake Charlotte said calmly.

“The only problem is my status. To be honest, I’m not really a match for him. After all, to you, Miss Frost, I’m just a lowly servant. That’s why you don’t want your father to marry me.”
Suzy couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “My father’s feelings for you aren’t real, just like your identity. All of his affection is for the real Charlotte, and you’re not her!”
“I know that. But so what?” the fake Charlotte replied.
“How many people start with genuine feelings, only for them to fade into something false as time goes by?
“If everything eventually becomes fake, then why should the beginning even matter?”
Suzy was left speechless.
They were all mad. Completely mad!
No, this wouldn’t do. She had to go find Dylan–this was his mess to deal with!
