Chapter 0678
The moment Suzy let her guard down, even for a second, her opponent would strike, ready to wipe the folder clean in an instant.
While the folder remained inaccessible, it hadn’t been completely erased yet. Its contents were protected by an exceptionally intricate security lock.
Suzy wasn’t just fighting off relentless cyberattacks–she also had to figure out how to crack the complex password–protecting folder.
Surprisingly, amidst her frustration, Suzy also felt a surge of exhilaration.
It was the thrill of facing a true rival, the kind of high–stakes duel she hadn’t experienced in years.
It brought her back to her early days of hacking, when she thrived on challenging opponents with superior skills, savoring the sweet satisfaction of victory when she succeeded.
And this time, she was determined to win again.
“I’m not tired. Don’t worry about me!” Suzy shot back without even turning around, her fingers flying across the keyboard.
“You haven’t eaten, slept, or even had a drink of water in three days. How can you not be tired?” Allen pressed, trying to reason with her.
“Even if you won’t rest, at least eat something!”
“I don’t need to. Just leave!” Suzy snapped, waving him off.
His presence was distracting, and she couldn’t focus properly with him hovering nearby.
Allen sighed, recognizing that she was far too stubborn to listen. He wanted to argue further, but ultimately, he bit his tongue.
Fine. Anything he said now would go in one ear and out the other.
Instead…
After stepping out of Suzy’s study, Allen immediately pulled out his phone and called Desmond.
“Desmond, where are you right now?”
“I’m at the office. Where else would I be?” Desmond’s tone sounded drained.
“As a working stiff, all I do is work. Daytime, nighttime, round the clock–work, work, work.”
Hearing this, Allen couldn’t help but feel a bit envious.
“We’re both working stiffs, but you’ve got it easier than me. Your boss is way easier to deal with than mine!”
“Yeah, right,” Desmond replied with a scoff.
“Those two are practically two sides of the same coin. Neither one’s any better than the other. And your boss? She’s been running me ragged lately, treating me like a workhorse…”
Allen couldn’t resist joining in the complaints.
“I haven’t been home for days. My wife’s pregnant, and she’s still got me running around like this.”

Desmond sighed. “Same grind, same misery. But seriously, Is this why you called me? Just to badmouth your boss?

“What? I didn’t say anything bad about her! You’re the one who started it–I just went along with it! If you hadn’t said anything, I wouldn’t have either,” Allen hurriedly explained, worried Desmond might twist his words and report back to Dylan.
If that got to Suzy, it’d spell trouble.
“Anyway, back to business. I need you to send your boss over here.”
“Send my boss? For what?” Desmond sounded puzzled. “Did Mrs. Wright ask for him?”
“As if! She’d probably rather never see him again. Why would she ask for that?” Allen replied.
“It’s my boss who’s hit a roadblock. I figure if your boss teams up with her, they’ll make short work of the problem.”
After all, Dylan’s hacking skills were no joke. If he and Suzy worked together, it’d be a powerhouse collaboration.
There was no way they couldn’t outmatch their opponent!
