Chapter 0667
When Elliot finally woke up, the first words out of his mouth were, “Who are you?”
Suzy froze, staring at him in disbelief. “You little brat, even if you’re mad at me, you can’t joke like this.”
“I’m not joking. I don’t know you. Why would I joke with a stranger?”
The look in Elliot’s eyes was completely unfamiliar, just as it had been the last time they’d met.
Was it possible he had truly forgotten her?
After running some tests, it was confirmed–Elliot had lost his memory.
This time, it wasn’t caused by drugs but by severe psychological trauma.
Suzy tried hypnotic therapy, but the results were less than ideal.
This amnesia was different from before.
Previously, he had forgotten everything about himself. Now, he remembered everything–except for her.
The depth of his emotional wound was painfully clear.
Suzy’s guilt only grew. She wanted to help him recover his memory, but…
Perhaps forgetting wasn’t entirely a bad thing for him.
In the days that followed, Suzy chose to step away, leaving Elliot’s care entirely to Allen.
Allen, too, was stunned by the news of Elliot’s memory loss.
“That kid’s feelings for her are just too overwhelming,” Allen muttered to himself.

“Honestly, wouldn’t it be easier if the boss just kept both Dylan and Elliot around? One lost his leg, the other lost his memory–both of them are pitiful enough!”
No, he had to convince her again.
Taking the opportunity while Elliot was asleep, Allen headed to the hospital rooftop and called Suzy.
“Did something happen to Elliot?” Suzy’s worried voice came through the line the moment she picked up.
“It’s nothing like that, don’t overthink it,” Allen quickly reassured her.
“Aside from not regaining his memory yet, he’s eating and sleeping well. He should be discharged in a few days. I called for something else!”
He hesitated before continuing, “Boss, I came across a novel recently, and it’s actually pretty good. If you’re bored, I could recommend it to you!”
“Are you out of your mind?” Suzy snapped.
“You called me just to recommend a novel? When did I ever show interest in reading novels? Because I don’t remember.”
“Hold on, don’t be so quick to dismiss it,” Allen said, trying to come up with a convincing excuse.
“I didn’t use to like novels either, but this one is really good. Even Riley got hooked on it. The two of us stay up late every night glued to our phones. I highly recommend it!”

“You two are supposed to still be in the honeymoon phase. And yet, during your romantic evenings, you’re both staring at your phones reading novels?
“At this rate, your spark’s going to burn out fast. Are you sure your passion can last decades like this?”
“Of course, it can! We share common interests!” Allen shot back before realizing he’d been sidetracked.
“Wait, that’s not the point! You’re supposed to focus on the novel, not my relationship with Riley!
“The story is about a woman who meets two men who both love her deeply. They’re both amazing guys, and she doesn’t know who to choose.
“She feels guilty no matter what because no matter who she picks, she’s hurting the other one…”
By this point, Suzy had caught on.
“Allen, I think you might need to get your head checked. Lucky for you, you’re already at the hospital. Go get a brain scan while you’re at it.”
“Boss, since you’ve figured it out, let me cut to the chase. I honestly think you should just keep both of them- Dylan and Elliot. That way, no one gets hurt.” Allen’s tone turned serious.
“Honestly, I used to think you and Dylan getting back together was a bad idea. But after everything you two have been through, I have to admit–he’s actually a good guy.”
