“Fine. You don’t know me? Great, because I don’t know you either!” Suzy snapped.
If he wanted to act like this, there was nothing more to say.

Turning on her heel, she started walking away, but a police officer called after her. “Wait a moment, are you the Miss Suzy we spoke to on the phone earlier?”
“Yes, that’s me,” Suzy replied, taking a deep breath. “But don’t know the man behind me. You must have called the wrong person.”
This brat! He used to be so much more obedient as a child. Back then, though he didn’t talk much, his personality was far better than it was now.

And what’s worse–he had the nerve to develop feelings for her, his mentor.

It wasn’t that she thought poorly of herself, but she had a fiery temper, a touch of neuroticism, and was older than him by a couple of years.
That might not seem like much, but to her, it felt like a whole generational gap. Why did it have to be her?

Thinking of Diana only reignited her anger toward Elliot.
He’d sent someone to pick Diana up, but instead of letting Her return, he’d kept her under house arrest.

She turned back to the officer and said sharply, “Whatever he’s done has nothing to do with me. Don’t call me about him again!”

“Elliot, if I had known you’d turn out like this, I never would have taken you as my student!”
“And what kind of person am I?” Elliot suddenly stood, striding toward her. The veins on his forehead bulged as he stopped in front of her.
