Diana had only heard about her brother dumping Anne through friends, and now that she knew, she had more than a few things to say “And why didn’t you tell me right away? You know how happy that would’ve made me!”
Dylan glanced at her briety: “Why should I tell you?”
“So I can celebrate!” Diana followed him to his desk, her face lit up with satisfaction. “I’ve been waiting for this moment for three years! Did Anne really think you’d marry her just because you divorced Sury? always said she’d never set foot into the Wright family.”
She passed, a bit more serious now. “Only shame is, Suzy’s already divorced you. If you’d seen Anne’s true colors sooner, maybe things wouldn’t have gotten to this point. So, tell me are you regretting it?”
Dylan’s pen stilled for a second, but he quickly resumed without looking up. “Don’t you have class today?”
“Not today, not tomorrow, or the day after–I’m on summer break!” Diana grinned, arching her brows. “So, admit it, you’re regretting it. That’s why you’re avoiding the question!”
He ignored her, signing the next document.
“Silence is as good as saying yes,” Diana teased relentlessly. “Didn’t I say you’d regret it? You should’ve listened to me.”
With a swift move, she snatched his pen. “Are you seriously focused on work right now? Work can wait. Your top priority should be getting Suzy back.”
Dylan shot her an annoyed look, but she met his gaze without backing down. “What are you glaring at me for? Am I wrong?”
She pressed on, undeterred. “I’m not trying to scare you, but my sister–in–law’s got it all -looks, grace, charm. Okay, maybe she doesn’t come from a fancy family, but everything else is hard to beat And
you drag your feet any longer, don’t be surprised if another guy snatches her up. Then you’ll really be left with nothing but regret.”
Diana’s relentless “sister–in–law” comments were getting on Dylan’s nerves, especially her remark about Suzy being “snatched up by another man.”

A woman who didn’t appreciate him was one he couldn’t care less about.
Diana took several deep breaths, barely containing her frustration. “Fine! I was going to help you, but clearly, there’s no point. Mr. Wright, please remember every word you’ve just said, and when the day comes that you’re eating those words, call me first!”
With that attitude, she thought, he’d have better luck chasing Suzy to the edge of the universe than getting her back. And he’d better not come crying to her when he realized what he’d lost.
Seething, Diana stormed toward the door, swinging it open–only to nearly collide with a middle–aged woman, red–eyed and looking like she’d just lost everything..
