After saying that, Dylan turned to Suzy and said, “I’m fine. Worst case, I’ll take a few cold showers. You should head back now. Don’t let anything else happen with your father.”
A strategy to retreat and advance?
Suzy chuckled softly, then tossed the antidote toward Dylan. “No need for all that trouble. Just take this.”
Without another word, she turned and walked away without looking back.
Linda stood frozen.
A perfectly good opportunity, gone just like that. Dylan really was… beyond saving!
Seeing the speechless expression on Linda’s face, Dylan chuckled lightly. “She’s a miracle doctor. Do you really think a little aphrodisiac is something she couldn’t handle?”
Linda sighed.
Well, she hadn’t thought of that.
Dylan and Linda both assumed that taking the antidote would solve the problem. However, after taking it, not only did Dylan’s discomfort not lessen, but red rashes began appearing all over his body.
In the dead of night, Linda was nearly scared to death. “Mr. Dylan, you’d better call Mrs. Wright and ask her to come back and take a look at you. What if something’s seriously wrong?”
“It’s probably just a side effect of the medicine,” Dylan replied. “Give it some time, and it might subside. Don’t worry about me, Go get some rest.”
Linda, however, was too anxious to leave. “I’ll stay with you for a little while longer.”
No matter what Dylan said, Linda refused to leave his side.
Both thought the symptoms would subside after a short while, but after another half hour, Dylan’s condition only worsened. His skin was not only red but swollen as well.
Panicking, Linda pleaded again. “Mr. Wright, we can’t wait any longer. Things might get worse. Please call Mrs. Wright!”
Dylan, still unwilling to bother Suzy, said, “Have the driver take me to the hospital instead.”
He truly didn’t want to trouble her, especially since she had just left not long ago.
Linda had no choice but to quickly call for a driver to take Dylan to the hospital.
However, the hospital staff was stumped. After running several tests, they couldn’t determine what kind of drug was in Dylan’s system. Even the detox injection they administered had no effect.
To make matters worse, Dylan began experiencing rapid breathing, further alarming everyone.
Despite his deteriorating condition, Dylan still refused to call Suzy. Ultimately, it was Linda who couldn’t stand by any longer and contacted Desmond, asking him to get in touch with Suzy, as she

When Desmond received the call, he didn’t dare delay for a second. He immediately called Suzy, “Mrs. Wright, please, you need to save Mr. Wright. The housekeeper just called me saying his condition is critical, and he’s at the hospital now.
”
“I already gave him the antidote,” Suzy replied, frowning. The pill she had given him was the Elixir of Purification, capable of neutralizing almost any poison. A simple aphrodisiac should have been no challenge.
“It’s been over an hour since he took it. He should’ve been back to normal by now. Why is he at the hospital?”
“The housekeeper didn’t tell me the exact details, just that his situation is dire. The doctors apparently can’t help him and urged her to contact you immediately,” Desmond explained, sounding just as worried.
Suzy’s brows furrowed deeper. “Which hospital?”
Hearing the urgency in Desmond’s voice, Suzy realized he wasn’t exaggerating. She decided to go and see what was happening for herself.
