The arranged meeting between George and the fake Charlotte unfolded as expected. The two embraced, crying in each other’s arms for what seemed like forever. But then, something no one had anticipated happened.
“George, what… what are you doing?”
The fake Charlotte was completely caught off guard when George suddenly attacked her. She hadn’t been prepared at all. The sharp pain in her abdomen was the only warning she got before realizing he had struck her pressure points.
“I’m sending you to hell myself!” George laughed maniacally, his face twisted. “I couldn’t bear to let Suzy do it, so I’ll do it with my own hands!”
As he raised his hand to strike her again, Allen, who had been standing outside the door, sensed something was wrong. He kicked the door open and rushed in to stop George.
“George, look at who you’re hurting! That’s Charlotte, the woman you love most!”
Allen couldn’t comprehend George’s sudden madness. “Weren’t you the one who couldn’t bear to see her hurt?”
George responded with a derisive laugh, his voice dripping with mockery. “You really thought bringing in a fake would be enough to control me?”
“What fake?” Allen’s heart sank, but he forced himself to stay calm. “Are you saying she’s not Charlotte? How is that possible? She looks exactly like her. How could she be a fake?
“You’re the one who knows Charlotte best. If she wasn’t real, how could she have fooled you for so long? You’re just trying to confuse us so we’ll let her go.
“Don’t forget what you said, George. You swore you wouldn’t play any tricks. If you keep this up, our deal is off!”
George sneered. “At this point, you’re still trying to twist things around? Fine, I’ll tell you the truth. I’ve known from the very beginning that she’s a fake.
“But since you wanted to play games, I figured I’d play along. Life’s dull, after all. If someone wants to entertain me, why not enjoy it while it lasts?”

glanced at Allen and said, “Take her down for treatment.”
George chuckled darkly. “So, no more pretending?”
Suzy’s sharp gaze locked onto him, her voice calm but cutting. “How did you figure it out?”
So, it turned out her suspicions were correct. George had seen through the ruse from the start and had been playing along all along.
Now it made sense why he hadn’t been at the Frost family’s old estate. He likely hadn’t been hiding there at all.
George’s smirk widened as he spoke. “You’re so eager to know? Fine, I’ll tell you.
“I’ve been with my master for years, long enough to know every little thing about her. I could count the hairs on her head if I needed to. That woman you sent? Sure, she was convincing–almost a perfect copy, down to the smallest gestures.
‘But imitation is still just imitation. No matter how good it is, a fake can never become the real thing..
“For example, the things she said–my master would never say those things to me. And then there’s her demeanor. My master has always carried herself with an unshakable pride, even in front of me. She’s always so untouchably arrogant.
“But the woman you sent? She was all over me from the start, hugging and clinging
to me.
“I didn’t expose her right away, not just because I wanted to play along with your little game, but because I also missed my master.
“I’ve loved her for so many years but never truly had her. Even if she was just a stand -in, as long as she wore her face, it was something I could accept… temporarily.
“I won’t lie, during this time with that fake, I felt things I’d never experienced before. I even started wanting her in ways I couldn’t control.”
