After pretending to restrain the fake Charlotte, George surrendered willingly.
Through tears, the fake Charlotte sobbed, “You fool! How can you be so stupid?”
Completely under her spell, George gazed at her with unshakable devotion. “You are the love of my life. I’d never abandon you to save myself.”
One had to admit that George was a real man. Anyone else might have bolted long
ago.
Suzy decided to lock the two of them together for a couple of days, giving the fake Charlotte time to further manipulate George’s mind. Once the moment was right, Suzy made her move.
“Where are you taking her?”
Suzy strode into the room, ready to have the fake Charlotte removed. George’s eyes burned with fury as he glared at her. “Suzy, if you have a problem, take it out on me! Don’t hurt my master!”
“Relax. You’ll get your turn,” Suzy replied coldly. She ignored his protests and ordered her people to drag the fake Charlotte away.
George, nearly losing his mind, lunged at Suzy. “Let her go! Suzy, let her go right now! If you so much as harm a hair on her head, I swear I’ll kill you!”
Suzy spun and kicked him, sending him staggering backward. “You think you can kill me? George, Charlotte could have stayed hidden and lived a quiet life. But because of you, she had to take such a desperate risk.
“I’m not the one who put her in danger–you did! If you’d given me what I wanted in the first place, she wouldn’t be suffering now.
With that, Suzy turned and walked away. At the door, she paused and said over her shoulder, “There’s a lot of bad blood between her and me. This time, I’ll make sure we settle it properly.”
Outside, Allen was waiting. The moment Suzy stepped out, the two exchanged a knowing glance.
Allen walked up to her with a smirk. “Leave the next part to me.”
Suzy nodded and stepped aside.

Allen waited a few minutes before entering the room. As soon as George saw him, he scrambled to his feet. “Allen! Go get Suzy. Tell her I want to make a deal with her!”
Allen stood there, stunned.
He had rehearsed an entire speech to manipulate George, but apparently, none of it was necessary. The desired effect had already been achieved.
With a resigned sigh, Allen thought to himself, “Well, if I’d known it’d be this easy, I wouldn’t have bothered preparing so much.”
“You should’ve realized this sooner. Maybe then Charlotte would still have a chance to live-
“Enough with the nonsense! Go get Suzy already!” George snapped, cutting Allen off mid–sentence.
Allen sighed inwardly but played along, leaving the room to fetch Suzy. Of course, he deliberately lingered outside for a few minutes, creating a believable delay. After all, summoning someone needed at least a bit of time.
When Suzy entered the room, she got straight to the point. “I hear you want to make a deal with me?”
“That’s right,” George said without hesitation. “You let my master go, and I’ll tell you where your father is.”
Suzy let out a mocking laugh, her expression cold. “George, you were willing to give up your own mother’s life, yet you can’t let go of Charlotte? Is she really that important to you?”
“Absolutely,” George replied without hesitation, his gaze unwavering. “She means more to me than anything, even my own life. So, what do you say? Do we have a deal?

Suzy’s lips curled into a smirk. “Let me get this straight you’re offering my father’s life in exchange for Charlotte’s?”
“Exactly.”
“I refuse.” Suzy’s crimson lips parted slightly, her voice calm but cutting. “She’s not worth it.”
“Are you sure about that?” George was taken aback, clearly not expecting her response. “Isn’t everything you’ve done up to now just to find your father?”
