Albert truly loved Wendy, so after hearing her claims, he began harboring some resentment toward her parents.
Meanwhile, Wendy deliberately spoke ill of Albert in front of her parents, accusing him of being materialistic, looking down on her family, and treating her poorly.
She even went as far as avoiding visiting her parents for years, claiming it was because Albert wouldn’t allow her to go. Under her manipulation, their relationship became particularly strained.
Eventually, her parents regretted their decision to look down on the poor young man she had loved before.
For Zack, Wendy not only betrayed Albert, who had treated her well but also let down her parents, who only wanted her happiness. Worse still, she had even participated in the massacre of the Frost family.

The more Wendy thought about it, the angrier she became, to the point of wanting to kill Zack outright.
But Zack had hidden himself away, refusing to open the door no matter how much she shouted and pounded.
Suzy stepped forward. “Wake George up, or just tell me where my father is, and I’ll help you get your revenge.‘
Wendy whipped her head around to glare at Suzy “Is this some kind of trap? Did you set this whole thing up with them just to trick me into revealing your father’s whereabouts?”
Suzy was momentarily speechless.
She had seen people in denial before, but Wendy was truly a master of self–deception.
“Wendy, even now, you’re still so blinded by love. I don’t even know what to say to you anymore.”
It wasn’t easy to wake someone who was pretending to sleep. Judging by Wendy’s behavior, it was clear she did know something–like how to wake George or where her father might be.
Since Wendy had the answers, there was no need to rush.
They decided to give her a day or two to process everything. Wendy was taken back, locked up, and provided water and food at regular intervals.
However, Wendy refused to eat or drink. For two whole days, she neither touched food nor
water.

Wendy sat there like a soulless husk, evoking an unexpected twinge of pity.
Suzy decided to try reasoning with her–after all if Wendy spiraled out of control, things could take a dangerous turn.

“Yes!” Wendy clenched her teeth in anger. “It’s all because of his lies that I betrayed Albert! Albert treated me so well, and yet I abandoned him for a man worse than an animal. I even conspired with Miss Charlotte to take part in the massacre of the Frost family!”
“What did you just say?” Suzy’s emotions surged as she grabbed Wendy by the throat. “You were part of that?”
Tears of regret streamed from Wendy’s eyes. “Yes, I was the one who opened the door for them. And I… I killed Albert with my own hands.
Wendy had murdered her own husband in order to be with Zack. “I’m guilty! I’m a sinner! I deserve to die a thousand deaths!
Suzy trembled with fury, her gaze as sharp as a hawk’s fixed on Wendy. “Wendy, if it weren’t for my father’s sake, I’d tear you to pieces right here and now! Tell me–where is my father?”
