Dylan never expected that Suzy and Helena were working together!

With that, she turned to the gathered crowd, waving them off. “It’s all just a big
misunderstanding. Sorry for disturbing everyone’s rest. It’s late, so let’s all head back to our rooms, shall we?”
The onlookers hesitated.
The drama’s key players had said their piece, leaving no more fuel for gossip. With nothing left to see, the crowd dispersed, grumbling as they retreated to their rooms.
Once the crowd had dispersed, Helena stepped up to Dylan, meeting his gaze squarely. “If you’re serious about remarrying her, then stop playing games. Treat her right this time. You’re both not exactly young anymore, and she shouldn’t have to face the risks of having children later in life because you can’t get it together.”
Dylan was speechless.
Helena didn’t wait for a reply. She turned to Suzy and placed a hand on her shoulder, leaning in close enough to whisper, “You owe me one.”
Before Suzy could respond, Helena gave her shoulder two more pats and walked off without a backward glance.
Watching Helena’s bold and carefree departure, Suzy couldn’t help but smile. Memories of the night before she left Xandria surfaced in her mind–when she had gone to find Helena.

When Suzy learned that Dylan had been avoiding her because of his own issues, it was Helena who stepped up and offered to help.

His attitude said it all. Suzy understood perfectly. Anyone else might have chased after him, demanding an explanation, but not her. She made no attempt to stop him, didn’t call out, didn’t ask any questions.
Instead, she turned, entered her room, and shut the door firmly behind her.
Hearing the door close, Dylan paused mid–step. His gaze shifted back to the now–closed door, his dark eyes filled with a tangle of emotions.
He knew the truth all too well–he didn’t want to hold her back.
Suzy deserved to continue soaring high like the falcon she was, not to have her wings clipped, tethered to him for a life of mediocrity.
What Dylan didn’t foresee was that this time, his attempt to push Suzy away nearly cost him to lose her forever.
