Chapter 0538
Chapter 0538
The door slammed shut with an echoing bang, leaving Dylan rubbing his temples in frustration as Helena’s parting words about not letting Suzy get away with it reverberated in his mind.
This wasn’t going to end peacefully, that much was clear.
Pressing his lips into a thin line, Dylan sighed and dialed Victor’s number, summoning him to
his room.
When Victor arrived, he was still half–asleep, yawning as he leaned against the doorframe.” What’s so urgent that you had to call me in the middle of the night?”
He rubbed his eyes and peeked into the room, his voice tinged with curiosity. “Where’s Helena? I thought maybe she was trying something bold, and you couldn’t handle it.”
Victor raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips. “With your limited mobility, if she’d decided to get a little… enthusiastic, I imagine you might’ve had a hard time keeping her at bay.”
But when Victor realized Helena wasn’t even there, his curiosity deepened. “Wait… how’d you manage to shake her off? Isn’t she practically glued to you like superglue?”
Dylan ignored the jab and cut straight to the point. “Figure out a way to get Helena out of here.
Victor blinked, processing the words. “Sorry, what? You want me to come up with a way to make Helena leave?”
“Exactly,” Dylan said with no hint of humor. “By tomorrow morning, I don’t want to see her here.”
Victor couldn’t help but laugh, shaking his head. “And what makes you think I’d have a solution if you don’t? You’ve been dealing with her persistence these past few days–surely, you’ve figured out by now that she doesn’t back down easily. If it were that simple, she wouldn’t have followed you here in the first place.”
“That’s your problem,” Dylan said curtly. “Just make it happen.”
Victor stared at him, dumbfounded. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
But as much as Victor wanted to argue, he ultimately shrugged off his annoyance and left to deal with the problem. After all, if Dylan wasn’t his friend, Victor couldn’t imagine why else he’d keep going above and beyond for him
Grumbling to himself about how Dylan must’ve saved his life in a past one, Victor went to the front desk to ask for Helene’s room number. Aned with the information, he made his way to her door and knocked firmly
Seeing that it was Victor at the door, the hope in Helena’s eyes instantly vanished. “What do

you want?” she asked, her tone cold and distant.
“Nothing much,” Victor replied casually, a friendly smile plastered on his face. “I just heard you and Dylan had a bit of a disagreement earlier, so I came by to check on you.”
Helena’s expression didn’t soften in the slightest. “And who exactly told you that? Dylan? Or Suzy? And who sent you here?”
“No one,” Victor said with exaggerated innocence. “I came on my own. I was worried you might be upset…”
“Worried about me?” Helena narrowed her brown eyes suspiciously, her gaze raking him up and down. “We barely know each other. Why on earth would you be worried about me?”
She took a step closer, her voice turning sharper. “Don’t tell me you are interested in me? Let me make this clear–I have absolutely no interest in you. So, if you’ve got something brewing in that head of yours, squash it now. You’re not my type.”
Victor blinked, stunned into silence for a moment. Where did this woman get her confidence?
Suppressing the irritation bubbling inside him, Victor opened his mouth to respond, but Helena didn’t give him the chance.
“Whoever sent you here, you can go back and tell them this: I will not let Suzy off the hook. Not now, not ever. She’ll pay for what she’s done, and I’ll make sure the cost is unbearable.”
