Chapter 0527
This unexpected move left both Suzy and Dylan completely dumbfounded, frozen in place for a long moment.
Seeing Dylan still sitting there in shock, Victor grabbed his hand, placed it on Suzy’s waist, and then cupped his head to tilt him closer to her face. “Dylan, without me around, you can’t seem to manage anything, can you?”
Suzy, thoroughly exasperated, couldn’t help but wonder if Victor had been dropped on his head as a child–nothing else could possibly explain such absurd behavior.
She quickly pushed herself out of Dylan’s lap, glaring at Victor and pointing a finger at his nose, ready to give him a piece of her mind when a sudden voice interrupted.
“Dylan Wright!”
Helena had arrived!
She came rushing over, breathless, barely taking a moment to compose herself before blurting out her purpose. “I need to take responsibility for you!”
Everyone was speechless.
Victor, ever the curious one, raised his hand. “Pardon the interruption, but can I ask what exactly you mean by ‘take responsibility‘? What did you do to him that requires such accountability?”
Helena, though addressing Victor, kept her unwavering gaze fixed on Dylan. “I got the wrong person in my revenge and caused him to end up like this. Everything that happened to him is my fault. That’s why I must take responsibility for the rest of his life!”
Her words were spoken to Victor, but her eyes never left Dylan, not even for a second. Anyone with eyes could see that Helena’s feelings for Dylan weren’t simple.
Dylan noticed too, his expression cooling as his gaze darkened. His voice was calm but detached. “That won’t be necessary.”
“How is it not necessary?” Helena took a step closer, narrowing the distance between them. “You ended up like this because of me. If it weren’t for my actions, you wouldn’t be
confined to a wheelchair.
“I owe it to you to take responsibility. I’m not someone who avoids their debts. When I’ve made a mistake, I own up to it. This is on me, and I’ll take care of you until you recover fully!”
“I said, it’s not necessary.” Dylan’s tone remained cold, but he hadn’t expected Helena to pull something like this.

Chapter 0527
Dylan wasn’t great at dealing with women, and the thought of Helena actually going home with him gave him an instant headache.
Especially when it came to Suzy…
He didn’t want to burden her, but at the same time, he didn’t want to create unnecessary misunderstandings or complications for her down the line.
“My mind is made up, Mr. Wright. There’s no need to say more!” Helena ignored Dylan’s protests entirely. Taking charge, she began pushing his wheelchair toward the boarding gate. “It’s time. Let me take you to check–in!”
Suzy stood to the side, speechless.
Everyone around them assumed Suzy would be furious, but instead, she followed after them with a lighthearted tone, teasing, “Well, it seems Mr. Wright’s future is all set now.”
Helena paused, turning back to look at Suzy. “Miss Frost, I know you might not agree with what I just said…”
“Not at all, not at all!” Suzy quickly interrupted with a wave of her hand. “Why would I have an issue with you taking responsibility?
“In fact, I think you’re absolutely right! People should be accountable for their actions. You hurt his leg, so naturally, it’s your responsibility to care for him.”
“Do you really think so?” Helena seemed a little taken aback, clearly expecting Suzy to be upset. After all, Dylan was her man, or so Helena assumed.
“Of course!” Suzy smiled brightly at her. “His legs require careful daily care, with a lot of specific considerations. I’ll send you the details in a document later. If there’s anything you’re unsure about, feel free to ask me.”
She gestured toward Allen, who was standing nearby. “Or you can ask him. He’s basically Dylan’s primary physician these days.”
