Chapter 0503
Victor hadn’t expected Suzy to admit it so readily. His whole body trembled with fury. “You actually admitted it? Fine, just fine. I’m going to tell Dylan right now!”
As soon as he turned around, he froze.
Standing behind him, silently and composed as ever, was Dylan.
“Dylan, did you hear that?” Victor exclaimed, pointing at Suzy. “She just admitted it herself -that man is her new boyfriend!”
Victor braced himself for an explosion. After all, Suzy’s words earlier had been cutting, almost cruel. But to his shock, Dylan’s expression didn’t change. He calmly glanced at Suzy and said, “Congratulations.”
“Thanks,” Suzy replied, equally surprised by his lack of reaction.
In truth, Suzy had spotted Dylan earlier and had intentionally said those things, hoping to provoke him into leaving. She hadn’t anticipated this response–cool, detached, utterly indifferent. It was clear he wasn’t changing his mind or his resolve.
Dylan had come out because he knew Victor would storm over to confront Suzy. He understood Victor too well–always more concerned about Dylan’s battles than his own. In Victor’s eyes, Suzy had hurt Dylan, and Victor wasn’t the kind to let that slide.
As expected, here he was, making a scene.
Dylan had also seen through Suzy’s ploy. Her words weren’t meant to hurt him; they were meant to push him away. He understood her reasoning, but deep down, he knew he couldn’t give her the future she deserved, not like this.
Suppressing the emotions flickering in his gaze, Dylan addressed Victor, “It’s late. Go back to your room.
“Dylan…”
“I don’t like repeating myself,” Dylan interrupted, his tone sharper than usual.
Realizing Dylan was truly upset, Victor held back any further protests. He shot Suzy a glare of pure frustration before stomping off, muttering under his breath.
After Victor left, Dylan turned his wheelchair toward the hall, ready to leave as well.
“Wait.”
Dylan paused, glancing back. “What is it?”
“Since you don’t care anymore, why not take your people and leave this place?” Suzy asked directly. “You’ve been out for a long time now–Grandma must be worried. You should

head back.”
“Suzy, even if things won’t work out between us, that doesn’t mean I’ll stop caring about you. So, stop trying to push me away with these tactics. Until this situation is resolved, I’m not going anywhere.”
Suzy fell silent. No wonder her words hadn’t affected him. He had seen right through her plan all along.
Since that was the case…
“Dylan, I’m not alone anymore,” Suzy said, pausing deliberately before continuing “The man Victor saw tonight is my brother.”
“Your brother is alive?” Dylan’s eyes widened slightly in surprise.
“Yes, he’s alive,” Suzy confirmed, her voice steady. “And he told me that Evangeline is innocent. Everything has been orchestrated by Helena behind the scenes.”
Suzy explained further, “Our suspicions were correct all along! It’s just that the results of Allen’s investigation were tampered with. And as for Serena? She’s no saint either. She’s been colluding with Helena to frame her own sister, Evangeline!”
Dylan’s expression darkened slightly. “Are you certain about your brother’s identity? It could still be a trap.”
“I understand your concerns,” Suzy said firmly. “I’m not stupid. I wouldn’t blindly believe someone claiming to be my brother without proof.”
She continued, “At first, I doubted him too. I thought he might’ve been someone impersonating my brother. That’s why, during our conversation, I hypnotized him. After verifying everything, I can say with absolute certainty that he’s my brother.”
