“I’ll never betray my master! If you’ve got the guts, kill me now!”
Steven smiled at Suzy with a nonchalant shrug. “But think it through–if you kill me, you won’t survive either. My master will definitely avenge me!”
Suzy returned the smile. “Oh, really? Then I’d love to see what kind of revenge your master will take for you!”
With a swift motion, Suzy struck, ending Steven’s life right in front of his subordinates.
“You… you actually…” Steven’s companion stared at Suzy in disbelief. “You killed him! I won’t let you get away with this!”
She turned to Steven’s men. “What are you waiting for? Kill her now!”
At her command, the guards attacked.
Outnumbered ten to one, the woman was confident Suzy wouldn’t stand a chance. But to her shock…
In less than two minutes, all the men were taken down by Suzy.
Fear filled the woman’s eyes. “I–I’ll report this to our master…”
She ran off in a panic.
Suzy didn’t stop her.
In fact, that’s exactly what Suzy wanted. She needed her to report back so she could uncover the mastermind.
Suzy quietly tailed the woman in her car. But just as she was closing in…

Not far down the road, the woman’s car suddenly spun out of control and crashed into a roadside barrier.
Alarmed, Suzy rushed over to investigate. A quick inspection revealed that the car’s brakes had been tampered with.
Someone had sabotaged it in advance.
Just as Suzy was preparing to leave, a group of police officers surrounded her.
“You’re under suspicion for involvement in a recent homicide. Please come with us.”
Looking at the officers who had appeared out of nowhere, Suzy smirked. “Well, you certainly came prepared.”

In a foreign country, resisting the police wasn’t an option. It would only give them more justification to act against her.
Suppressing her emotions, Suzy followed the officers without resistance.
“Sir, Mrs. Wright has been arrested by Xandria’s police!”
The moment something happened to Suzy, the team secretly assigned to protect her immediately reported the news to Desmond.
Desmond, upon receiving the call, didn’t waste a second and hurried to find Dylan.
As soon as Dylan heard the news at his desk, he was instantly alarmed. “Weren’t you supposed to ensure her safety? How could this happen?”
Cold sweat dripped down Desmond’s back. “They were doing their job. However, according to their report, it seems Mrs. Wright didn’t actually go to Xandria for a vacation with that
man.
“And the reason Mrs. Wright was taken by the police is because…” Desmond hesitated before continuing. “She killed someone. And not just anyone–she killed the man she went there with, Steven Pister.”
Hadn’t she just moved on from him and fallen for someone else? And now she’d already killed that man?
Dylan’s brows knitted tightly. “Call Allen and get him here immediately!”
“Yes, sir!”
Desmond quickly contacted Allen.
About half an hour later, Allen walked into Dylan’s office. “Dylan, are you feeling unwell again?”
“What was Suzy’s real reason for going to Xandria?” Dylan’s tone was tense, skipping any pretense.
Allen’s expression flickered briefly. “What else could it be? She was invited by that
handsome guy she recently met, so she went.
“She’s spent so many years consumed by revenge and hasn’t had the chance to relax. Why won’t she take this opportunity to go oversea to relax?”
“She’s in trouble!” Dylan said, staring directly at Allen.
“What?” Allen, unaware of the news, was stunned. “What kind of trouble?”
