Suzy had no patience left for games. Going to confront Selena again would yield the same evasive answers. Instead, she decided to take decisive action.
Without hesitation, she sent people to detain Selena and her entire family.
“What are you doing?!” Selena yelled, struggling against the ropes binding her. Her face contorted with fury as she glared at Suzy. “I gave you what you wanted, so why won’t you let me go?”
Suzy remained silent, her expression cold.
“I know I lied to you,” Selena continued, her voice tinged with desperation. “But I was forced into it! I swear I didn’t harm him. Why drag my family into this?”
Suzy ignored her protests and gave Victor a subtle nod.
Victor caught the signal and motioned for Selena’s mother to be brought forward. Without a word, he instructed his men to slap her repeatedly in front of Selena.
“Stop it!” Selena screamed, her voice cracking. Leave her alone! Do whatever you want to me, but don’t hurt my family!”
Her pleas fell on deaf ears. Suzy stood unmoved, her gaze steady, her resolve unshaken.
One by one, Selena’s family members were brought in and subjected to the same treatment. Her younger brother, barely holding back tears, cried out in pain. “Sis! It hurts! Please, help me!”
Selena clenched her teeth so tightly her jaw ached, tears streaming down her face as she shouted, “Suzy, you monster! Take it out on me! Leave them out of this!”
But Suzy didn’t flinch. She knew she was crossing a line, but time was of the essence. Dylan’s life was on the line, and she would stop at nothing to find him.
As cruel as it seemed, Suzy had also uncovered that Selena’s family wasn’t as innocent as they appeared.
Her father had been involved in smuggling for years, and while her mother appeared elegant and noble, she was just as vile behind the scenes.
Her personal life was shockingly depraved, even to the point of keeping young boys as playthings.

From Selena’s words, Suzy gleaned a crucial piece of information. “You work for Claude Harlow?”
Selena hesitated before nodding. “Yes! I was under Claude Harlow’s command. Even though he’s no longer here, his orders remain. Everyone on this side who worked for him must obey unconditionally. Anyone who dares to betray him will face severe consequences!”
She let out a bitter laugh. “If it weren’t for you capturing my family, I wouldn’t have told you the truth, even if it meant dying.”
Although her parents were far from good people, and her brother was downright awful, they were still her family. She couldn’t just stand by and watch them die at Suzy’s hands.
