Chapter 0376
After his subordinate left, Hawk picked up a dart and hurled it at a photo of Dylan pinned to the wall. It struck the image squarely, his frustration palpable.
“Dylan Wright, I told you that you’re no match for me. Suzy will always be mine. Even if she doesn’t love you anymore, you still have to die, because you stole far too many firsts that should have belonged to me.”
The first man she ever loved.
The first man to claim her body.
The first man to be her husband.
Every one of her firsts should have belonged to Hawk. Dylan had no right to steal them from him.
His obsession with Suzy had reached a dangerously twisted level.
For her, he would sacrifice anything–his father, his brothers, whatever it took.
Even Claude and Matthew had been pawns in his game, used to garner Suzy’s sympathy and trust.
However, the truth was far darker. His first meeting with Suzy wasn’t at her brother’s birthday party, as she believed. It had happened much earlier, on a day when she and her parents picked up her brother from school.
The moment he saw her–so beautiful, so doll–like he couldn’t look away. She was mesmerizing, a vision he couldn’t resist being drawn to.
From that day forward, he began quietly observing her, learning everything about her. At the birthday party, he’d deliberately orchestrated the situation where others bullied him, knowing full well that her innate sense of justice would compel her to step in and defend him.
It worked like a charm. Despite her young age, she had been fiercely protective, and he’d used that to his advantage.
Later, he crafted a tragic persona–a neglected boy unloved by his parents. Even faking a limp was part of the act, all to make her care for him.
As Hawk thought about the lengths he’d gone to for Suzy, a glint of determination lit eyes. He had sacrificed too much and planned too meticulously.

For Hawk, Suzy wasn’t just a woman. She was his destiny. His obsession. His prize. And he wasn’t going to let anyone–especially Dylan–stand in his way.

Late at night, Suzy sat alone in her study, the room shrouded in darkness. She stared out the window at the moon, her thoughts a mystery.
Suddenly, her phone rang, breaking the stillness. Seeing Hawk’s name on the screen, eyes flickered with a subtle change of emotion, though it disappeared just as quickly.

She picked up the phone and answered, her voice soft and warm. “Senior, why aren’t your resting? It’s so late.”
Her tone was full of concern, and on the other end of the line, Hawk felt a wave of sweet satisfaction.
“I’ve been busy all day and didn’t have time to check in on you. You’re not upset with me, are you?”
“Of course not. You’ve been taking care of all the wedding arrangements to spare me any stress. You must be exhausted.”
“As long as it means I can marry you sooner, a little exhaustion is nothing. But there is something…”
“Senior, you can tell me anything,” Suzy reassured him, her voice even softer. “We’re about to get married. There shouldn’t be any secrets between us. Is there something I can help you with?”
“It’s not about me. It’s about Dylan Wright. I found something related to what you asked me to investigate regarding why he assassinated Charlotte.”
Suzy’s tone sharpened, tinged with curiosity. “What did you find out?”
“It’s exactly what we suspected. Dylan was the man Charlotte refused to name. When she killed your family, both Mark and Dylan’s father were involved. Mark acted out of infatuation, but Dylan’s father had his sights set on money and power.
“Back then, your father’s position as the wealthiest man made the Frost family a constant threat to the Wright family. So, Dylan’s father deliberately incited Charlotte, stoking her hatred toward your parents. He even masterminded the assassination plan himself.
“Dylan knew who you were all along. That’s why, during your marriage, he treated you so cruelly. It wasn’t because Anne deceived him, as he claimed.
“Everything Charlotte did, from trying to separate you and Dylan to her other schemes, was all part of their plan to keep you from uncovering the truth. In reality, they both had the same goal–to see you dead.”
