Riley quickly explained the situation. “That woman was turned into a puppet by Charlotte, programmed to attack Suzy. Suzy feels sorry for her and doesn’t want to harm her, so she asked me to find a rope to restrain her.”
Allen’s expression darkened, his brow furrowing deeply. “I’ll look for one. You stay here and keep watch. I’m going back in!”
Riley nodded. “Got it!”
Just as they were about to split up, the hidden chamber’s door suddenly slammed shut. No matter how much they pressed the same switch as before, nothing happened.
The two instantly realized what was going on.
Allen said, “Charlotte must be somewhere in this villa. She wouldn’t know our movements. so well otherwise. If we want to save Suzy, we have to find her first!”
Riley agreed. “Enough talking. Let’s move and find her!”
They also instructed the people guarding outside to start searching.
However, after scouring the entire villa, they found no trace of Charlotte.
Riley speculated, “Could she be in the chamber too?”
If she wasn’t outside, the odds of her being inside the chamber were high. Even though Suzy had already searched thoroughly earlier and found nothing suspicious, it didn’t mean there wasn’t another hidden area within.

Both Allen and Riley’s anxiety spiked.
It wasn’t that they doubted Suzy’s capabilities, but Charlotte was notoriously cunning and treacherous.
