Feeling frustrated, Suzy wandered into the garden to calm herself down. She sat on a bench for a long time, and only after some time did her mood improve slightly.

“Mr. Dylan, you didn’t answer my calls last night. I thought you were just too busy with work, but then Diana called and told me that Suzy had returned. You’re at the family estate together with her right now, and Diana said you even promised Grandma you’d have a child with Suzy…..”
Anne’s voice started to break like she was on the verge of tears “So, Mr. Dylan, is it because Suzy’s back? Are you afraid of making her angry, and that’s why you’re avoiding me? I understand, though… You two are married, and having children is only natural.”
Her voice quivered as she continued, “Since you’ve made your decision, let’s just stick with what I said yesterday. From now on, let’s not see each other anymore.”
Dylan’s response came, cold and detached. “The baby is just to appease Grandma. Once that’s done, I’ll use it as leverage to negotiate with her.”

She must not have heard anything.
If she had, given her current temper, she wouldn’t be this calm.
It was late, and Dylan didn’t want to keep arguing.
He turned to leave. “I’ll sleep in the study.”
Suzy didn’t respond, grabbing her clothes and heading to the bathroom. Even though she didn’t come here often, Grace had always made sure to stock the room with plenty of clothes for her, for every season.
The next morning.
“Grandma, here’s your favorite–bacon and scrambled eggs.
“And for you, Diana, black coffee and your chocolate whole wheat bread…
Dylan’s face darkened as he looked at his empty plate at the table.
He called over a servant. “Where’s my breakfast?”
“Uh…” The servant glanced nervously at Suzy. “I’ll make it right away,
sir.
Suzy acted as if she hadn’t noticed a thing, quietly enjoying her own breakfast.
She had woken up early to make breakfast for Grace and Diana, knowing what they liked. As for Dylan…
For the past three years, she’d prepared all his meals, and he never appreciated it. So, this time, she wasn’t going to bother.
As his expression remained sour, Grace and Diana exchanged a knowing look.

Then Diana looked across the table at Dylan. “Brother, you should drive Suzy to pick it up. You’re Grandma’s grandson, after all. It wouldn’t hurt to pitch in
Suzy could see through Grace and Diana’s little schemes.
If she hadn’t overheard Dylan’s conversation with Anne, she might have stayed a few more days.
But now…
Setting down her utensils, Suzy grabbed a napkin and wiped her mouth. “Grandma, I have something to talk to you about.”
