“Over a hundred lives lost, and you think repaying it with just your own will suffice? That’s far too easy for you,” Suzy said coldly, her gaze shifting to Tanya.
Her face had grown pale from the blood loss, and Suzy’s tone turned sharp. “Tanya seems to have a thing for handsome men. Since we know each other, I’ll do her a favor and send her off with a few before she dies.”
She gave Allen a pointed look. “Find a few strong, young men and make sure they take good care of Miss Goodwin.”
“Yes, boss,” Allen responded without hesitation.
“Suzy!” Mark’s voice was a growl, her name forced out between clenched teeth. “Don’t you dare!”
Suzy’s smile was chilling, her tone laced with mockery. “Why so agitated, Mr. Goodwin? I’m just making sure Miss Goodwin enjoys herself a little before the end. Don’t worry, I’ll send her only the finest men. She won’t be disappointed.”
Mark’s chest heaved with fury, his breath ragged as he struggled to speak. Before he could get another word out, Suzy gestured to Allen again. “Since Mr. Goodwin is so concerned, lock him in the same room with his daughter. Let him watch how generous I am with her final moments.”
Allen couldn’t help but smirk at her ruthlessness. “Got it, boss.”
This was brutal but effective.
Following Suzy’s orders, Allen locked Mark and Tanya in a room together and brought in five or six muscular men, each towering and imposing.
“Well, Miss Goodwin,” one of them said as he stepped inside, flashing a smirk: “Which one of us gets to go first?”
Tanya, known for her love of handsome men and her carefree attitude, froze. Having them here was one thing but in front of her father? The blood drained further from her already pale face.
“Get out!”
One of the men chuckled. “Now, now, Miss Goodwin, that’s no way to talk to us. We’re here on orders to entertain you. If we go back empty–handed, we’ll be the ones in trouble.” As he spoke, the men began closing in, surrounding Tanya like a pack of wolves.

One of the men sneered. “Old man, you can barely protect yourself, and you’ve got the nerve to make threats?”
He kicked Mark square in the chest, sending him sprawling across the room. Before Mark could recover, another man planted a heavy boot on his back, pinning him to the floor.
Meanwhile, the others forced Tanya onto the bed, their hands grabbing at her clothes, and. tearing away at her jacket.
“Stop! Let her go!” Mark roared, using every ounce of strength to struggle against his captor. But the man’s grip was ironclad, and Mark couldn’t move an inch. All he could do was watch in helpless fury as Tanya’s outer clothing was ripped away.
“Suzy, you vile woman!” Mark bellowed, his voice raw with rage and desperation. “Call them off! Let my daughter go!”
No matter how loudly he cursed or pleaded, Suzy didn’t appear, and the men didn’t stop. Just as Tanya’s last layers of clothing were about to be stripped away, Allen’s voice rang
“Stop!” he commanded sharply.
The men immediately stepped back, releasing both Mark and Tanya.
Freed, Mark scrambled to his feet and rushed to Tanya’s side.
Stripping off his own coat, he wrapped it tightly around her trembling frame, pulling her into his arms. “Tanya, it’s okay. I’m here. I won’t let anyone hurt you!”
His arms tightened around her protectively, his voice filled with anguish. “I’m so sorry, sweetheart. I’ll never let anything like this happen again.”
Allen, watching the scene unfold, relayed Suzy’s message with cold detachment. “Mr.. Goodwin, a wise man knows when to let go of burdens he shouldn’t bear. Continuing down this path will only harm you and those around you.”
With that, Allen turned and left, leaving Mark and Tanya huddled together in the aftermath.
Tanya, still shaking, looked up at her father. Her voice was soft but tinged with curiosity. Dad… who is it? Who is the person you’re protecting?”
