Suzy had deliberately arrived late earlier because she’d been confirming Tanya’s identity.
The nightclub was a place Tanya frequented, so it didn’t take much effort for Suzy to get her name. Sharing the same last name as Mark was far from a coincidence.
What Suzy still couldn’t determine was the exact relationship between Tanya and Mark. To find out, she decided to make the call and gauge his reaction.
What she hadn’t expected was for Mark to admit the truth so openly.
Suzy, I’m the one you’re looking for. Let my daughter go!”
Hearing those words, Suzy was briefly taken aback. “So, she’s your daughter?”
Mark had been married to his wife for years, and everyone thought they had no children. Yet here he was, with not just one, but several children outside his marriage. First Brandon, and now Tanya.
Tanya must be particularly important to Mark; otherwise, he wouldn’t have confessed so quickly. After all, he had never once publicly acknowledged Brandon, no matter the
occasion.
On the other end of the line, Mark scoffed coldly. “Suzy, whatever grudge you and I have, it has nothing to do with my daughter. Let her go, and I’ll tell you everything you want to know.”
Suzy let out a dry laugh. “Fine, I’ll bring her to you right away.
After hanging up, Suzy ensured Tanya was secured before approaching Riley and Raven, who were still unconscious. She handed each of them a small pill, and soon, they began to stir.
Seeing that Tanya was now under control, Riley wasted no time.
She slapped Tanya hard across the face. “You little brat! Kicking me? If you weren’t still useful, I’d send you straight to hell myself!”
Raven, while equally furious, was less impulsive. She turned to Suzy and asked, “Boss, what do we do with her?”
Suzy’s expression was calm but decisive. “We take her back to meet Mark Goodwin.”
As the group prepared to leave, Dylan and Hawk emerged from the shadows, having followed them the entire time. It seemed they were always one step behind, ready to
intervene.
Dylan watched Suzy disappear into the distance, then turned to Hawk with a pointed remark. “You seem like you’ve known for a while that Mark has a daughter.”

Hawk glanced at him, his tone dismissive. “It’s Mark’s daughter, not mine. Why should I be surprised? Unlike you, Mr. Wright, I’m not into gossip.”
Dylan’s expression darkened, but he said nothing more, striding off to follow Suzy.
Hawk’s eyes lingered on Dylan’s back, his irises deepening like a dark, unfathomable abyss.
Suzy returned to Ashbourne City with Tanya in tow and immediately arranged a meeting with Mark.
Mark arrived at Hillside Villa alone, just as she had instructed.
The moment Mark and Tanya saw each other, concern clouded his face. “Tanya, are you alright?”
“I’m fine, Dad. Don’t worry…” Tanya’s voice was soft but filled with unease. “Dad, you shouldn’t have come. You shouldn’t have admitted we’re related.”
Mark’s expression was gentle as he looked at her. “Silly girl, all these years, I’ve never acknowledged your identity to anyone. I’ve taken so much from you–things that should have been yours. Yet you never once complained, even risking your life for me. Having a daughter as understanding and loyal as you is my greatest blessing.”
Suzy stood silently, her expression impassive, as father and daughter reunited. She waited until they finished their emotional exchange before speaking, her tone cold and deliberate. “Mr. Goodwin, I’ve returned your daughter to you safe and sound. Now it’s time for you to fulfill your promise.”
Mark’s gaze shifted to Suzy, his eyes darkening “Suzy, the person you’ve been searching for all these years–the one who killed your parents–is me.”
