Suzy had thought about having a child once, but that was all in the past.
Now, all she wanted was a divorce.
Besides, Dylan was just putting on an act for Grace.
As soon as they were in the room, Suzy pulled her hand from his. “You shouldn’t have said that in front of Grandma. She’ll take it seriously.”
“Let her take it seriously, then.”
“…What do you mean by that?”
“What do you think?” His lips curved into a faint, meaningful smile.
Suzy stared at him for a moment before laughing. “You want me to have your child? Mr. Wright, looks like you’ve really fallen for me! I thought you didn’t believe in playing hard to get, but it seems to be working wonders.”
At her words, Dylan’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Grandma likes the idea. Otherwise, did you really think you were worthy of carrying my child?”
“…Where was all this filial piety before?” Suzy retorted. “And speaking of having a child. with me,
shouldn’t you talk it over with Anne first? If we had a kid, we’d be tied together for life. Are you sure she’s okay with being left in the shadows forever?”
Dylan took a step closer. “All this talk… what? You don’t want to have a child with me?”
“Exactly!” Suzy admitted bluntly. “If you’d just signed those papers earlier, we’d officially be divorced by now. I have zero interest in having a child with my ex–husband.”
Ex–husband…
“Who are you interested in having one with, then?” Dylan grabbed her chin. “Allen?”
“…Yes!”
What was his obsession with Allen?
Why did he keep bringing Allen up like he had some personal vendetta?
She actually admitted it!
A storm brewed in Dylan’s eyes, and just as he was about to say something, a knock came
at the door.
“Brother, open up! I heard Suzy’s back. Is it true?”

Suzy patted her back gently. “I remember you have class this morning. Isn’t it getting late? It’s been a while since I’ve seen Grandma, so I was thinking of getting her a gift. How about we go out together?”
“I took the day off from school,” Diana said with a smile. “Grandma just got back this morning, so I thought I’d spend the day with her. I got permission to skip class last night.” “Your brother’s here, he can keep Grandma company just fine. Finals are coming up, skipping class might affect your grades.” Suzy spoke as she subtly tugged Diana toward the door.

With a sly look in his eye, Dylan watched her closely as Suzy curved her lips into a polite smile. “Why don’t you stay here and keep Grandma company? The driver can take us.”
“I don’t need company,” Grace chimed in from downstairs at just the right moment. Since Dylan’s so eager, let him take you. The driver can take Diana to school.”
Catching on to the hint, Diana quickly added, “Yes, yes! Suzy, why don’t you go shopping with Brother? I’ll head to class on my own.”
Suzy was speechless.
As soon as they stepped out of the house, Suzy turned to Dylan and said, “I’ve played my part. Now, Mr. Wright, this is where we part ways.‘
