Throughout the ride, Suzy didn’t say a single word to Dylan, not even sparing him a glance. She kept her head down, focused entirely on her phone.
After not going home the previous night and having her phone shut off from a dead
battery, she was certain Allen had been searching for her everywhere.
The moment Suzy got into the car, she plugged in her phone and powered it on.
Just as she expected.
23 missed calls and over 99 unread messages on WhatsApp.
Riley had also bombarded her with calls.
She was busy replying to each one, her phone lighting up as she dealt with the avalanche of messages.
Dylan watched her the entire time, his already cold eyes gradually hardening into ice.
Suddenly, the car came to a screeching halt.
Caught off guard, Suzy was thrown forward, hitting the back of the front seat.
Her phone dropped, and her head hit the seat, making her already sour mood even worse. She glared at him coldly. “It seems Mr. Wright’s skills aren’t just lacking in bed.”
Dylan was speechless.
He glanced at her through the rearview mirror, a smirk tugging at his lips. “If you want me to sleep with you, just say the word. Taunting me won’t work.”
Suzy fell silent.
Perfect.
He and Anne were a match made in heaven–both of them were just as shameless.
Suzy matched his smirk. “Tell me, do you know anyone who reuses disposable cutlery?”
Disposable cutlery….
Dylan’s expression, already grim, darkened even more.
Suzy thought he might lose his temper, but to her surprise, he said nothing more.
Of course, someone so eager to move on wouldn’t waste his time on her.
She picked up her phone and resumed her busy task of replying to messages.
Dylan’s grip tightened on the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white.

They drove in silence, speeding toward the lawyer’s office.
When they arrived, Suzy wasted no time getting out of the car.
Even when it was time to sign, she didn’t hesitate for a second.
She picked up the pen…
And in one smooth motion, signed her name.
At that moment, Dylan finally realized–she truly wanted the divorce.
Dylan glanced at her, a shadow briefly flickering in his eyes, when suddenly his phone rang.
It was from Grace.
His expression remained unchanged as he put down the pen and answered the call. Grandma…”
“I don’t care where you are. Come home immediately!”
With that single command, Grace hung up.
Dylan stood and started heading for the door.
“Hey…” Suzy called after him, “You haven’t finished signing!”
If he was in such a hurry, the least he could do was finish the paperwork and get the divorce certificate, right?
Wasn’t he the one who couldn’t wait to get this over with?
Dylan stopped in his tracks, staring at her with an unreadable expression that made Suzy uncomfortable.
Just as she was about to speak, he stepped toward her.
She assumed he was returning to finish signing, but to her surprise, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the chair.
“What are you doing?”
“Grandma’s back.”
So?”
Suzy had overheard the call just moments ago.
“Come with me to see her.”
“Dylan, she’s your grandmother. And from what I heard on the phone, she didn’t ask to
see me.”

Chapter 0129
As much as she missed Grace, going back with him wasn’t a good idea.
It would be too hard to leave again.
“Just because she didn’t ask doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go.
Dylan glanced back at her. “Suzy; where’s your conscience?”
“… Even if I do go, I’m not going with you.
Suzy tried to yank her wrist free from his grip, but Dylan only tightened his hold. “You don’t get a choice.”
Without giving her a chance to argue, Dylan pulled her toward the car and forcibly pushed her into the passenger seat.
Yes, he forced her to sit next to him.
Suzy blinked, completely baffled.
Maybe he’d lost his mind.
“Dylan, don’t tell me that just because we slept together last night, you suddenly feel different about me?”
Dylan shot her a sidelong glance. “I’m not your chauffeur.”
Suzy was speechless.
Well, that was wishful thinking on her part.
She rubbed her temples, already feeling the headache brewing.
“Dylan, I’m really not in a good mood right now. When we see Grandma, I might say something I shouldn’t. Don’t blame me if you regret it later.”
“As long as you’re not afraid of upsetting her.”
Suzy f Suzy fell silent.
She was afraid of upsetting Grace, which was why, no matter how cold Dylan had been toward her, she had never said a word in front of Grace.
