Chapter 0251
Anne’s audacious antics pushed Diana’s temper to its limit. Just as she was about to lash out, Suzy stepped in to stop her. “Take Grandma to the car first.”
“Suzy.. “Suzy…” Diana hesitated, worried. “She’s despicable, and you’re no match for her.”
Suzy chuckled in amusement. “Maybe you don’t know me as well as you think. Go on,
Grandma to the car.”
After a moment’s hesitation, Diana relented, guiding Grace toward the car.
Once they were out of sight, Suzy walked up to Anne, took the invitation from her hand, and opened it.
Sure enough, it was written in Dylan’s handwriting.
She let out a soft scoff and thought, “Finally marrying the woman he loves. He really couldn’t wait, could he?”
take
Closing the invitation, Suzy’s hand moved with a swift motion, tossing it into a trash can ten meters away in a flawless arc.
Then, with a cold smirk, she looked at Anne, whose expression had soured. “Anne, do you really think Dylan can protect you forever?”
The icy chill in Suzy’s gaze sent a shiver down Anne’s spine. She swallowed nervously but forced herself to maintain her defiance. “Whether he can or not depends on whether he wants to. I’m carrying his child now. Even if he doesn’t care about me, he cares about his child.”
Anne’s tone turned smug as she continued, “You were married to him for three years and
couldn’t give him a child. I thought he didn’t want kids, but clearly, I was wrong.
–
“Look at me I’ve just gotten pregnant, and he’s already showering me with gifts, planning everything from baby clothes to postpartum care centers.”
She stepped closer to Suzy, covering her mouth to stifle a mocking laugh. “Turns out, he doesn’t hate children. He just didn’t want to have a child with you.”
Despite Anne’s taunts, Suzy’s expression remained unreadable. Her voice was calm as she replied, “If he likes kids that much, you should have as many as you can for him.”
Anne blinked, caught off guard by the lack of reaction.
“Of course,” she said, forcing a laugh. “He loves me so much, I’ll definitely give him lots of children.”
Suzy nodded lightly. “Good luck. Aim to be a perfect broodmare.”

With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Anne seething, her frustration evident as she stomped her foot in anger.
Anne had come here expecting to revel in Suzy’s heartbreak, to see her crushed and devastated. Instead, Suzy had remained entirely unfazed.
It was like hitting air–no resistance, no impact, and utterly unsatisfying.
Anne burned with irritation.
What she wanted was to see Suzy broken, not walking away as if she didn’t care at all.
Watching Suzy walk over to the car where Diana and Grace were waiting, chatting warmly through the window, Anne sneered. “Let’s see if you truly don’t care.”
After sending Diana and Grace off, Suzy returned to her office.
Just as she sat down, the landline on her desk rang-
This phone was usually used for business calls, so she picked it up without much thought. Hello?”
There was no response on the other end.
Suzy frowned slightly. “Hello?”
Still, no sound was heard.
It wasn’t likely a wrong number. If it was, the caller would have said something by now.
Her eyes narrowed. “If you’ve got something to say, say it. Don’t play games.”
“It’s me.‘
The moment she heard Dylan’s voice, Suzy hung up the phone without hesitation.
Almost immediately, it rang again.
She didn’t need to look to know who it was.
Dylan Wright.
Was he here to flaunt something too, right after Anne’s little show?
Staring at the phone ringing incessantly, Suzy let out a cold laugh before answering again.
“Dylan Wright, aren’t you worried your baby’s mother might get jealous, seeing you calling your ex–wife?”
“Suzy-
She cut him off before he could finish. “I got the wedding invitation, don’t worry. I’ll be
