The room fell deathly silent after Anne’s outburst.
Charlotte was the first to react, grabbing Anne’s wrist to check her pulse. “She’s really pregnant!”

“Suzy, stop!” Charlotte intervened. “She’s carrying Dylan’s child, and she already called him earlier. He’s probably on his way right now.”
