Watching Suzy’s figure gradually disappear, Diana didn’t turn back. “No.”
“Are you willing to let her go?”

Although Suzy hadn’t asked him why he showed up just at the right moment, she had a clear idea of the reason. She knew he had placed a tracker on Diana long ago. Meanwhile, inside Hawk’s private villa.
“Suzy noticed that serial number and has already sent someone to investigate,” one of Hawk’s subordinates reported, showing utmost respect as he relayed her every move.
Hawk, standing on the balcony and gazing into the distance, smiled with pride. “No one in this world knows her better than I do.”
He had sent those men, planning to play the hero himself. But Dylan’s unexpected interference had thrown everything off. That serial number was a deliberate clue, left behind to ease Suzy’s suspicions later on.
Knowing how deeply she mistrusted him, Hawk had foreseen that even if everything went smoothly, she would likely assume he’d staged the whole ordeal. So, he left a clue that could later fully exonerate him.
Thinking about Dylan’s intervention, Hawk tightened his grip on his wine glass. “Cutting me off midway isn’t so simple, Dylan. Even if you got in my way, there’s always a price to pay.”
