Once Grace’s condition had stabilized, Dylan headed straight to the Harlow estate, only to find them gone.
He questioned the staff, but they remained tight–lipped.
His calls to Suzy went unanswered.
He sent Desmond to investigate, who came back with a peculiar report. “We’ve checked all flights, trains, and even bus records–there’s no travel record for Mrs. Wright or Miss Wright.”
Dylan wasn’t entirely surprised by this result but was now even more intrigued. Who was helping Suzy? Could it be that enigmatic Allen, whose background had remained stubbornly concealed?
If Allen had been assisting her all this time, he likely knew everything about her, including her true identity. It explained the trust Suzy placed in him–trust she clearly withheld from Dylan. Frustration simmered as he considered how she seemed willing to rely on anyone
but him.
With the loss of Claude, there was now Allen–a reminder of how much she distanced herself.
But finding them wouldn’t be hard.
Diana was wearing a pendant he’d custom–designed for her after the accident. The pendant held a tracking system to keep her safe, allowing him to locate her at any time.
Initially, he had refrained from using it, wanting to test the capabilities of whoever was backing Suzy. Now he knew: Allen wasn’t a man to underestimate.
“Allen, let’s hope you can maintain this mysterious act,” Dylan murmured, a dark glint forming in his eyes.
After activating the locator, he immediately booked the next flight and headed off to find
them.

On the other side of the ocean, Suzy had taken Diana to a secluded, spring–like island. Here, it was just the two of them, with no one else around.
Away from everyone, Diana’s mental state noticeably improved–she was more willing to go outside, and even her mood brightened as she began talking more.

Everything was moving in a positive direction.
Suzy planned to do a bit more psychological work with her once Diana’s mood stabilized further. In the meantime, she was working on a scar treatment formula; the scar on Diana’s head, given its location, would require special care and patience.
For Suzy, the island offered a rare sense of tranquility. It was the first time since she was five that she’d felt anything close to peace.
For twenty long years, she’d lived with relentless purpose, never allowing herself a moment to forget that deep, consuming hatred. Even in sleep, as a trained assassin, she remained tense and vigilant.
For a brief moment, she imagined a different future–one where, after everything was settled, she could live here alone, waking under the sun and resting at dusk, away from the
world.
Perhaps that wouldn’t be such a bad life.
But the sudden roar of a helicopter shattered her reverie.
At first, she thought it might be passing by, but it began to descend. A surge of unease shot through her, and she sprinted toward the house, but before she could get far, a group of men in black, armed with assault rifles, surrounded her.
“Who sent you?” she demanded, eyeing the man directly in front of her.
The man sneered, bloodthirsty and cold. “Who else? Someone who wants you dead.”
