“You were blocking my way! I was trying to catch up to my sister–in–law, so I pushed you!”
Seeing Suzy walk further away, Diana grew frantic and tried to rush forward again, but Riley grabbed her arm firmly. “She already told you they’re divorced. Why keep calling her your sister–in–law? What, are you trying to sabotage her future relationships?”
“Divorced or not, she’ll always be my sister–in–law! She’s the only one fit to be the mistress of the Wright family!”
Diana tried to shake Riley off, but she couldn’t break free.
“Wright family?” Riley’s eyes gleamed with intrigue. “Which Wright family?”
“The Wrights in South Avenue,” Diana huffed.
“So, your brother is Dylan Wright?” Riley’s eyes narrowed with recognition. “Well, well, now it makes sense.”
“You know my brother?” Diana asked, surprised.
Riley let out a cold laugh. “Didn’t know him before, but that’s about to change.”
Since he dared to mess with her boss, he was as good as dead.
By the time Suzy was out of sight, Riley released Diana’s arm.
Once free, Diana bolted outside, hoping she could still catch up.
But when she reached the entrance, Suzy had already disappeared.
Feeling frustrated, Diana searched everywhere but couldn’t find a trace of Suzy.
Stomping her foot in anger, she cursed under her breath. “Damn it, this is all that woman’s fault!”
While muttering angrily about Riley, she whipped out her phone and furiously dialed Dylan’s number.
As soon as the call connected, she snapped, “What did you do to my sister–in–law? She doesn’t even want me or Grandma anymore!”
On the other end of the line.
“You saw Suzy?” Dylan instantly focused on the key detail.
“Yeah!” Diana huffed, hands on her hips. “I’ve been looking for her for days. I finally found her, but no matter what I said, she refused to come back with me. She even asked me to say goodbye to Grandma for her. You should’ve seen her face–like she to do with us again.”

“Like she never wanted anything to do with us again…” For some reason, those words hit Dylan harder than they should have.
Something about them gnawed at him, leaving strange, uncomfortable feeling deep in
his chest.
Pushing down that unwelcome emotion, he asked, “Where?”
“Where what?‘
“Where did you see her?”
“How should I know where she went? She left before I could catch up!”
“Where did you neet her?” he clarified.
“Gold Eagle Heights.”
“I’m on my way.”
Dylan wasted no time, speeding towards Gold Eagle Heights as fast as he could.
Trailing behind Dylan, Desmond approached the reception desk.
“Who’s in charge here?” he asked.

Riley, with her graceful posture and confident sway, approached him with a smile. “That would be me. How can I help you, sir?”
Desmond got straight to the point. “I need to review the security footage from the last half hour.”
Riley’s eyes subtly flicked towards Dylan, who stood off to the side with an air of authority, before turning back to Desmond with a slight smirk. “Of course, I’ll get right on that.”
She had been meaning to have a little encounter with Dylan anyway, but who would’ve thought the opportunity would present itself so soon?
No wonder her boss had fallen for him–he certainly looked the part of someone who could sweep a woman off her feet.
Too bad his taste was questionable….
Clearly, the man had no idea what he was missing out on.
Since that was the case, Riley figured she might as well help him out.
Maybe he just needed a little lesson in seeing things more clearly.
Naturally, she wouldn’t make it obvious.
His status demanded some subtlety, after all.

Moments later, she returned, carrying a tray.
On it was a USB drive along with a freshly brewed pot of tea.
As she approached Dylan, closing the distance step by step, she was just a meter away when she suddenly stumbled.
The teapot flew from the tray, aiming straight for his face.
