1 stared blankly at the bed, unsure I was seeing right. 

Was I hallucinating after the accident? 

It wasn’t until she spoke confirming that I was in fact seeing right. 

“Neil you’re here?” She said, drawing her knees to her chest.

I’m not getting any younger, we would have been married nine years ago by now, I know it’s all my fault but in the four years you were married to Leah you didn’t share the bed with her because you couldn’t stop thinking about me,” she inched in closer to me, reducing the small distance between

“Now she left the picture and I thought I finally had you to myself, I’d pursued my career and succeeded, so had you, the time was right but then you hesitated, I thought you were upset with me,” she waved her hands frantically above her head, “and you truly had every right to be angry! But I just didn’t think you would drag it this far, Neil, what am I to you?! I’m not getting any younger, it’s only a matter of time before I’m gray and wrinkled.” 

She noticed my reluctance and threw her arms around my neck, “you need to make a decision now Neil, do you want me or do you want nothing to do with me?” 

I thought deeply about it. She was definitely right. I had been distracted by Leah, and after what happened today, I wasn’t going to see her anymore. She was married with a child, I had no idea why I had even been trailing after her, eager to save

her life when she had continued to make it clear that she wanted nothing to do with me. 

There was no need to worry about anything else. I had Ella right here. I think I had been too worried that Leah had done. something to hurt herself in those five years that I was guilty to move on but she was fine and now secured from her threat. 

I will never see her again. 

I didn’t have sex with Leah for the entirety of our marriage because she meant nothing to me, and I’d had to abstain another five years because I was looking for Leah. 

Tonight, I was going to remind myself of my feelings for Ella. 

I tilted my head, lowering my face and ended up pressing my lips to Ella’s. 

She relaxed her naked body against mine, guiding my hands to her bare waist as she began to walk backwards, leading us to
