Chapter 18
“Seen enough? Shall we go, Ms. Esme?” Magnus suggested.
I smiled. “Okay.”
Just yesterday, I had a new identity; I was now called Esme.
This is not a simple rebirth, this is a complete revenge.
I look forward to what happens in the future.
A month later, Alpha of the Iron Claw Wolf Pack announced their niece Esme would came Ironclaw Pack to live, sending ripples through pack society.
Meanwhile, Adeleke deteriorated after returning from Ironclaw Pack. He spent his days drowning in
blood wine, clutching Lilliana’s memorial crystal.
“My Luna, you’re deceiving me, aren’t you? You’re not dead… come back…” “I was wrong… shouldn’t have betrayed our bond…”
Elder Hawthorne executed the blood oath Adeleke had signed five years ago. With Lilliana gone, her parents inherited everything.
Her mother was merciless: “Sell everything – his den, vehicles, artifacts. Leave him nothing. Let all wolves know: those who cherish their mates prosper; those who betray them fall.”
A week later, Hawthorne visited Adeleke’s den. This Alpha was long gone from his once strong and charming self; he was hairy and thin.
“Alpha, Lilliana’s mother ordered the den’s sale. The new owners…”
“Want me gone?” Adeleke laughed bitterly. “Lilliana’s scent is already gone. Nothing left for me here.”
He staggered out but collapsed in the garden. His beta, watching him attempt blood–letting in his deepest grief, finally contacted the Pack Elder.
Two hours later, Adeleke’s grandfather stormed into the healing den. His grandson kept ripping out healing runes, leaving bloody marks.

“STOP!” The Elder struck him with his staff.
“Grandfather, let me join Lilliana,” Adeleke begged. “Help me share her eternal rest.”
The Elder dragged him to a mirror, splashing moon–blessed water on his face. “Look what you’ve
become! You’re my weakest descendant!”
Adeleke saw his hollow face, dead eyes. He’d become a shadow since losing Lilliana.
They’d vowed to age together. But he’d grown bored with peace, tempted by other wolves‘ wandering ways, believing he could maintain two mates secretly.
He struck himself. His betrayal had driven Lilliana to Ironclaw Pack, to her death.
The Elder sighed. Adeleke, once his pride, now suicidal over a broken bond…
After forcing Adeleke to groom himself, the Elder spread out documents .
“You betrayed her first. I can’t face her parents. You
