Chapter 1
In the fifth year of our partnership, I received the s*x tape–not by accident, but on purpose.
Martyna’s voice dripped with malice. “Back in the territory six months ago, he fell into my trap.”
The video played, revealing my partner entangled with his first love.
“The roof is exciting, your alpha is enthusiastic.”
A month later, on the night of our fifth wedding anniversary, I caught Adeleke with Martyna in the
car.
Adeleke confessed fondly, “Don’t be sad, darling. I won’t touch an inch of her skin.”
I didn’t rage. I didn’t cry. Instead, I signed the parchment dissolving our bond and instructed the wolf pack elders to carry out my next plan.
“Whose names should be inscribed on the mating ritual decree?”
“Adeleke and Martyna.”
Seven days later, I departed for the Ironclaw Pack, leaving behind a carefully orchestrated mating ritual–my final gift to Adeleke.
And the beginning of my revenge.
“It’s a mate’s manifesto retrieved from the Alpha’s secret lair, Luna.” Maryia, the elder of the pack
looked at me with respect.
The Silver Moon Pack’s totem gleamed above this old parchment.
Five years ago, on the night of my sacred mating ceremony, Adeleke announced this manifesto and locked it away–a symbol of his devotion, an unbreakable vow. If he ever strayed from our bond, if he ever let another claim what was meant to be mine, I could sever our mating at will.
My fingers curled around the quill, the tip barely hesitating before gliding across the page, wrote “I reject Adeleke on the parchment.

The chair across from me remained empty. Our fifth mating anniversary had become nothing more
than a hollow ritual
“Take this to Hawthorne,” I commanded, my voice steady with the quiet authority of a true Luna. “And prepare the Great Hall of the Silver Moon Keep. It will host a mating ceremony.”
Maryia hesitated, “Whose names shall be inscribed upon the ceremonial decree?”
“Adeleke and Martyna.”
I could feel my wolf bleeding as I said the words, the pain of breaking the bond making her
whimper.
Silence stretched between us. Martyna–his first love before he became Alpha.
“And when shall the ceremony take place, my Luna?”
I lifted my gaze. Above us, the sacred blue moonflowers had begun their ephemeral bloom–a celestial display granted only when the Moon Goddess bore witness to love. The delicate petals twisted in the air, weaving glowing words across the night sky: “Alpha Adeleke & Lilliana–Happy 5th Anniversary.”
The letters were like a branding iron near my eyes and I was forced to close them.
“Seven days from now,” I murmured. “And arrange for my departure to the Ironclaw Pack’s territory.”
Maryia ‘s breath caught. “Ironclaw Pack, my Luna? Surely… you should reconsider.”
My grip on the quill tightened. I did not need reminding.
Five years ago, on the night I was mated, my father–the Alpha of the Ironclaw Pack–had forged one final decree alongside my mating bond:
“If our daughter ever returns to her ancestral lands bearing the scars of betrayal, Adeleke shall never set foot in Ironclaw Pack again. He shall be cast out, forsaken by the Northern bloodline, his name unwelcome upon the frozen earth.”
“My decision is final.” My voice was steel.
The ceremony would be held on the eve of my birthday. While Adeleke and his long–lost love

exchanged vows beneath the Silver Moon, I would be leaving his territory forever.
My mind link pulsed, a faint glow signaling an incoming message. My stomach tightening as I saw Adeleke’s latest public statement over all the pack.
“My Luna. My mate. My eternal love. Happy Anniversary.”
My ears were filled with the wolf calls of the wolves rising and falling. They were praising Adeleke’s loyalty.
“Alpha will still have moonflower for Luna this year!”
“Five years, and he still courts her like a love–drunk pup.”
“Remember when he nearly lost his life in the Blood Moon skirmish? His first words were asking if
his Luna had eaten.”
Adeleke is hereby notifying everyone in the wolf pack via mindlink:
“Lilliana is my mate. Loving her, protecting her, and ensuring her happiness is my sacred duty as her Alpha.”
I exhaled slowly, my expression unreadable.
For five years, Adeleke had been the perfect mate. Fierce. Devoted. A wolf who had given me status, wealth, unwavering loyalty.
Until a month ago, when I had received an unexpected mind–link transmission–one never meant for
my ears.
“Six months back in the territory, and he fell right into my trap.”
“He arranged these blue moonflowers for me, but I prefer silver ones. You can have them for your anniversary.”
Two weeks later, at a pack gathering, Adeleke had introduced Martyna with a smooth smile.
“A distant cousin,” he had said.
But I knew that voice. A laugh full of derision and provocation.

Later that night, provocative words continue to be sent my way through the mind–link.
“The rooftop was thrilling. Left some marks on your Alpha.”
When Adeleke returned home that evening, his breath heavy with blood wine, I had seen the evidence for myself.
Across his ceremonial mating tunic–the one I had embroidered by hand, woven with ancient wolf–script declaring “My Alpha“-faint but undeniable scratches marred his skin.
The same tunic he had once vowed to wear as a symbol of his fidelity.
And now, he had called me with an excuse.
“I’m preparing a surprise, love. I won’t make it to dinner.”
A minute later, my mind–link pulsed again.
This time, it wasn’t a message. It was an image.
Adeleke seated at an intimate candlelit table with Martyna.
Silver moonflowers adorned the setting, their petals catching the flickering light.
Every silver petal was mocking me instead of Martyna.
A couple of condoms that had been used had been deliberately placed in the corner of the photo, as if to prove that something had just happened.
As I sat beneath the quiet glow of our own anniversary display, I watched the luminous blue moonflowers wilt into the night.
And I wondered:
Had he typed that loving message to me while cradled in another’s arms?
