Lemira scrolled through Evelina’s posts, and it brought back the memory of her account being snatched in the past.
With a swift motion, she hit delete! Finally, she didn’t have to deal with anyone from the Langston family anymore.
Then she received a forwarded video from Jessica: [Lemira, is this streamer you? Sounds a lot like you.]
The video sent by Jessica was from her recent live stream.
She hadn’t shown her face, just her keyboard and fingers, not wanting her family to find out before she made it big, to avoid any sabotage.
Lemira replied: [Hmm, I have no idea.] She didn’t admit it’s her.
After putting down her phone, she closed her eyes and fell asleep; streaming could be pretty exhausting.
the next room, Orion shot Thaddeus a glare, “If you’ve got nothing sensible to say, better keep quiet.”
“But was just curious, man. Didn’t think she’d confess liking you!”
Orion’s expression was a bit awkward, “Like can mean a lot of things.” It was not always about romance.
Thaddeus, all excited, said, “I’ve already got someone to edit Sweet Lemon’s streaming video, it’ll hit the trending page in no time, guaranteeing her a blast this summer as a gaming sensation!”
Orion saw the edited video sent by Thaddeus, Lemira was indeed impressive.
Soon enough, the gaming live stream video went viral. Everyone was guessing who SweetLemon really was!
Alaric, the boss of VibeCast, got the news immediately. But when he saw the gamer’s name, he got thrilled, “She gained 100,000 followers overnight?”
“Yep, boss, the person you’ve been eyeing, also is called SweetLemon, I think it’s the same person. The game name, character design, and even the profession as a gunner match.”
“Yes, it’s the same person.”
Alaric had been wanting to scout SweetLemon for a while. He didn’t expect her to start streaming. And on PixelStage, no less. His rival company!
Alaric logged into the game, but she had already logged off, and she did respond to the signing offer he had proposed before.
Alaric only glanced at the start of the video without finishing it.
“No matter what, get her to VibeCast. I’m sure there are loads trying to sign her now, find a way to contact her.”
He couldn’t let PixelStage snatch her away.
Evelina entered the office with a thermos, “Alaric, who’s the new star you’re planning to bring to VibeCast?”
“It’s the gunner I mentioned before. She went on PixelStage, and gained 100,000 followers overnight! If she joins our SkyBlaze, it’d be a significant boost.”
Hearing about the overnight hundred thousand followers, Evelina felt a bit awkward. After making efforts for so long, she had just recently hit 100,000 herself.
Someone managed to achieve that in just one night?
Alaric noticed Evelina’s expression, “Eve, you’re doing great too. Keep it up, and I’ll make sure you get the newcomer award at this year’s internet celebrity festival.”
“Thanks, Alaric, I’m already grateful for that. I made you some late–night snacks, have some, don’t end up having stomach issues like Lucian.”
“See, Eve, you’re always so thoughtful, unlike some people.”
When Alaric thought of Lemira, his mood soured a bit.
Evelina felt a slight sense of triumph. She might not be as explosive as the overnight sensation. But compared to Lemira, she felt pretty accomplished.
She searched for SweetLemon’s live stream video, but the moment she heard the streamer’s voice, her mind went blank.
